yes indeed 144 screws holes to hold all 4 boards to the heat sinks. tiny little shits too  Shocked

Also that is not counting a handful of holes which are off to the side, as I said still no hashing boards so I am not entirely sure if they are needed. Still counting what I received to then divide by 10.

Looks like 1440 to me, still counting.

Seems the .5mil bags they put the hardware in fell apart found remnants in box.

Depends on how well you want the thermal transfer between the board and the heat sinks to work.  Order up a decent screwdriver (dual-action or electric) and you'll be done in no time Smiley

Looking at Dogie's guide for the Tusnami, there are 36 screws for each board.

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3868/14632156588_262621eeb5_o.jpg

There are a couple of extra holes as well, so 144 + 4-6 extra screws. That is a shit load of screws.

I am plugging in my screw driver batteries now.

<snip>
One of the boxes has a noise coming from it...
<snip>
Not sure if that is enough, guess I have to separate them out...  FUN!
<snip>
I am pretty sure that is not enough..  4 x 10 units = 40 - 15 = 25 Short by my count..  Friedcat any help?
<snip>
Will continue after I actually get full delivery.........

WOW!!! speechless...

Can you tell me how many screws are needed for 1 tube in total?

Looks like 4 - 4M x 55mm(allen head, 4 nylon washers), 4 - 4M x 8mm(phillips head), and 144 - 2M x 6mm(phillips head); each machine.
Hmmm... I got 39*4=156 for smallest screws that hold PCB to the heatsink. sidehack confirmed with me.

So has anyone actually built one of these and had it work?  I was reading the other thread and no one has them working after multiple days?

Did you order like 100 of these. That would be 15600 screws!

Nope, in fact it is 156 2M x 5mm to properly hold 4 hash boards to cooling rig. I tried less and had erratic heat issues. All 156 in and she is warming up nice 96.37% and climbing..  onto finish #2.

So has anyone actually built one of these and had it work?  I was reading the other thread and no one has them working after multiple days?

Once I got all the parts and assembled took 10 minutes to setup, although I am a Network engineer with 10+ years exp.  but if you have worked with ants you know that you will need to create a sub-net to create 192.168.0.X network.

Better hope they used heavier bags then used with my shipment. .225 mil plastic, probably lasted 10 minutes in shipping.

If you don't mind can you let us know if it gets better or worse? Also I noticed you're clocked at 270... That's overclocked right? Just wondering.

Negative... 270 is shipped clock

I moved around some room fans and I am seeing some improvements, the chips that were pwr down are back. These things are HOT!!! I have almost branded myself twice grabbing the rear handle (away from fan) to adjust position. Lab temp has risen 5C since booting, I will NOT be OC'ing these things in the lab, moving to DC soon..

I can not stress how hot these are on the exhaust side or side opposite the fan.

Well I guess I will not bother to get one of these then unless the price drops by quite a bit... 1.04BTC for under 800GH at what 900 watts?  Even with free power it is not worth all the effort  Undecided

Well they Finally made it...  ALMOST!  DHL lost the 2 boxes with the hash cards in them, really??  Anyway they were located and "should" arrive this evening. Check that I get the pleasure of going and picking them up. Hey Dogie is that part of the Bulk discount experience?

Thats DHL being stupid ^_^

Lets calm down guys. My retail kit will be arriving on Thursday so I'll get a proper step by step guide up with proper pictures, and see if there isn't a way we can speed up those screws. I've ordered a 300g handheld electric screwdriver and I'll see how much faster it is than a good manual to see if its worth others buying. I don't think the normal 2kg electrics aren't going to cut it for something like this.
