Canary, have you been able to determine how to RMA a bad board we purchased in your GB? I haven't been able to get a answer from anyone yet? I'm also looking for this info.

okay I have it assembled.
I am using a 5 volt dlink 1mp wallwart so it works fine. the controller has flex on volts. 5 to 12? at 1 amp seems to be good.
I am using an evga 1300 psu 4 pcie cables attached dip switches:
set 1 then 2 then 3 then 4
I typed in 192.168.0.254:8000/FlashMega and I am at this spot. flashings seems slow so far 10 minutes.
Any time estimates for flashing?
FYI - on OS X, I always use firefox or chrome to flash. Safari sometimes just will not do it correctly. I flash lots of stuff from routers, port servers, print servers, voip etc. If the interface does not look right or behave as expected I fire up parallels to do it from WinXP, Win7 or Linux. Some equipment will just not take being spoon fed except from windows and never over wireless. yeah sometimes I have to use chrome or firefox or vmware/windows7 I got it going pretty good. funky wind sound from the fan. all in all having it mine today and good numbers on ghash I can't complain. As usual and no reflection on Canary fried cat alway prices just a bit too high. I paid about 520 usd and around 36 to ship with extra for insurance total of 556. I guess you could say it should have been at my house on monday not thur. so a 3 day delay cost each of us . 05 btc. that falls on friedcat again. Still the next best thing to this is a 22+ day wait for an s-3 . So for all of us may the hash be with us. lets see how much we can earn in 22 days.

Hi everyone.
I am having an issue with this purchase and I am hoping someone here can help me. I came across the ad for this buy and decided I wanted to purchase one of the tubes. I did not have the required BTC in my wallet so I sold some GH/s from CEX.io and sent it to the address listed in the ad. I posted my tx ID on this forum and purchased and emailed the shipping labels for the tube. I received an email back from Canary saying everything was fine and all I needed to do was sign the message and send it to him. I had no idea what Canary was talking about and was informed that I could do it from my wallet. When I told Canary that it did not come from my wallet but from CEX.io I was told the ONLY option was to sign the message or the BTC would be returned to the sending address. I immediately emailed CEX support and explained the situation to them and I was told that the receiving address at CEX was static but the sending address was not and if the payment was returned I would lose it.
I then notified Canary about this and was told it wasn't true and that the ONLY option was to sign the message or he would return the BTC to the sending address. I once again emailed CEX support and my ticket was elevated to the supervisor and they responded with the same information and an offer to contact Canary and confirm the transaction came from my account. This was rejected by Canary. Canary posted a message to the admin of the GASH.io forum stating the problem and after some confusion the admin at GHASH told Canary the same thing CEX had. The admin also offered to confirm the transaction came from my wallet but once again Canary rejected this.
Canary states that I can not prove the funds came from my account. I have asked Canary if anyone else has claimed this transaction ID and to this point he have refused to answer the question. I also asked why the confirmation from CEX was not adequate and again no response from Canary. Canary also will not answer any questions about this transaction. Canary will only state that the ONLY option is to sign the message, which is not possible or return the BTC to the sending address which means I will lose it.
I sent the BTC to the listed address in good faith and have offered to show that the funds came from my account on CEX. I am at a loss at what to do now. If anyone has any ideas I would very much appreciate hearing them.
Thank you,
Stephen Scott
I don't know how GHASH can prove it came from you unless they can send a signed message from the same address... They can confirm that the amount I sent came from my account with the transaction number I listed. How would anyone but me be able to do that?

My .02, ask Canary to pick a 4 digit number in a PM. Send him that 4 digit number from the same online wallet. i.e. Number picked is 4501, send .004501. That should prove you own the source. Most wallets won't let you send less than a certain amount so thats why I suggest only .00xxxx instead of .0000xxxx. you could also try .000xxxx. again every wallet has its limits. I like this idea but it probably won't work. According to GHASH/CEX they have several wallets that funds are sent from. If it wasn't from the same wallet as the first time Canary would not accept it and I would lose whatever amount I sent.

I know it is a controversial pool but it works on mining.bitcoinaffiliatenetwork.com pool also without proxy.

Well after overnight running on ghash I tried to do bitcoinaffiliatenetwork as suggested it did not run. It may be that I picked a bad server as that pool has about 7 to choose from. I am back at ghash. I would like to think that btcguild or a few other pools will do a fix for this. By fix I mean that I can simply use the controller. Impressions this is a nice design small unit. Sidehack I could see 2 of these in a custom case with a hp2000 psu. Two options 120 volt with a slight down clock to freq 250 and 240 volt with the 270 ,280,290 options. The case could have 4 fans at a little less speed to cut down the noise. My biggest complaint is the software. It really should allow for 2 or 3 pools with a rollover option. Right now if ghash goes down I got nothing. And even if many pools could just work there is no switchover like the s-1 or s-3. Bad friedcat naughty kitty. All in all I like the gear hoping for a decent firmware fix for the 2 complaints. BTW this gear likes the 260 setting a lot. I am using the us1 ghash server and a different worker on ghash.

I like the miner I like the ethernet controller. The firmware needs improvement quite a bit. I can't directly say enough bad about the 1 pool only choice in the gui . seems you can pick slush or mmpool.org or ghash but only those three and only one of them at that. I have been sending pm's and posting to ask for a real choice in the gui and a rollover choice like many other programs and gear offer. I now have alerts on my ghash pool and I find that to be a step back on Friedcat's part. Shame as I wanted two or three of these not happening now as I have a lot of real world issues to deal with for the next few months. I need set it and forget it options. This gear does not offer that. I know buying a rasp-pi and setting up a proxy with 2 or 3 pools is an option but I do not want that. I wanted a controller with a decent gui. oh well. What truly frustrates me is none of this is Canary's fault it is friedcat's as he had the software-firmware put into the controller. Now we need to deal with it. Well it does hash nicely on ghash for now. Setup was easy and it is small. I use 850 watts for 790gh An ethernet box with a good gui would be very nice. Hopefully it happens (please Friedcat you can do it!)

(BTC Miner App on iPhone) When ever I was not handy it would drop, so zero hash until I got back to reset it or got one of the kids to "power" it off and on. Then it started needing to be off at least 30 seconds, then it would take 2 or 3 cycles to get it going. Then it died 3 months later. Got the S1, what a relief, it just hashed without all the BS needed to keep the cube going.

I had about a dozen rockminers they worked on a doctored cgminer with a onepool option. "sound familiar" They were very stable. This gear seems to be stable but once again a one pool option no auto rollover. Wrong and on the cat not the canary

Too many things to go wrong. The firmware needs fixed to at least remove the proxy. The mechanical construction is solid> I have no fears of mechanical failure in fact I think it is better made then an s-1 and at least as well made as the s-3. The ethernet controller is well made allows for 5, 6 and even 12 volts to power it. The heat sinks are really good quality. Breaking this gear is not going to happen. even the boards daisy-chaining are not a big deal. The provided gui in the ethernet allows one choice with no rollover. So if I have it running at ghash and ghash goes down it does not rollover. I pointed my s-3 at ghash I pointed my tube at ghash. I am doing 1.25th If ghash crashes I lose .8th until I manually switch it. but my s-3 switches. Everyone that purchsed this should ask friedcat to provide a better gui in the controller.

well it is a different company so who knows. At Canary friedcat is offering coupons. So what is 1 unit price after the coupon. Since I purchased 1 unit from you I should be able to get a .05 btc couponhttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735728.msg8608924#msg8608924So if I want one do I send you 0.99 btc? plus a label? Even with the restricted controller I do like this gear. A second unit allows me a second controller I am hopeful someone will figure a way to program a better gui into a controller.

If you are using the cgminer or bfgminer as a proxy, they can be setup to roll over. even split mine (must be same coin) between two pools.
