Let's see if this post is removed as the article says it could be...

"The team added that Bitcoin Forum, a bitcoin community where Nakamoto used to communicate, usually removes posts connecting bitcoin with CIA."

Has there been an indication from the mods as to WHY these threads are being deleted?

Has there been an indication from the mods as to WHY these threads are being deleted?

Because people keep making the same exact thread, with little to no variation on the content.

People are creating posts about the same exact subject without searching to check whether or not a similar thread was created. Someone with multiple accounts kept making topics on the subject with no credible information, and would reply to his own threads often times trying to sell an e-book that cost upwards of 200 United States Dollars from Amazon.

I have seen several threads on this topic recently. I would not be surprised if some of them have been moved to a different subforum and would likely get a new topic number so if you go directly to the link it will show as you are unable to access the link.

I have a great idea.  Let's put all posts from the shithole IB times and all his fucking alts into their own sub forum.  Every time he or his alts post we can just move them there.

Then we can all set our profiles to ignore that sub forum.

Oh, I wonder why? Maybe because there is at least one of these posts every few days. Until there is some real evidence, one thread is enough. Join the discussion on an existing thread or keep it to yourself please.

ACCOUNT RECOVERED 4/27/2020. Account was previously hacked sometime in 2017. Posts between 12/31/2016 and 4/27/2020 are NOT LEGITIMATE.

I was questioning a specific quote from that article and asking if there was any truth to it in regards to moderation here.  I'll change the thread subject title to better reflect this.  Smiley

It's true there is evidence of NSA working on cryptocurrency technology with their 1996 paper on cryptos. However, my theory is Satoshi is an individual or group of people that worked for the government and secretly released the technology to the public.

Or it could be a big setup from the beginning. But isn't fiat anyway? At least with Bitcoin it's open source and public and everyone knows exactly how many there are. If there is a backdoor to the encryption then people will switch to something else.

yes, the users request that the troll be removed because he is an irritant, ibitunes is not a team, it is one man with dozens of sock-puppet usernames trying to shout out his fud as many times as he can. he has been proved wrong time and time again.

we, the users have just began to ignore him and just report his posts as our way of slapping him across the face with a wet fist as he is relentless in his pursuit of boosting his ego.

Its interesting to note Gavin Andresen has never met "Satoshi" or spoken to him on the phone.  It reminds me of exactly how Edward Snowden first contacted Glenn Greenwald without revealing his identity, and Snowden had CIA background.  Also makes sense that the CIA would not worry about holding a million or so BTC, thats just a drop in the bucket for them.  Really makes you think...

I've heard that Bitcoin talks were banned at defcon this year via orders from high up in the organization, and vendors were instructed not to accept Bitcoin.

That's not the kind of rules I'd expect at the CIA's and NSA's most important recruiting event if Bitcoin was their project.

This sounds like mere rumors. Any proof?
