How do I embed a video in a forum post instead of just having the link? I want the video to show up on my post not just the link.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

You can't. I would recommend taking a screenshot of the video and linking the video via the image screenshot image

Message me if you have any problems

This forum doesn't allow video embeding like most other forums. A few years ago, I didn't realize this and wasted a lot of time trying  Undecided

Why not? It's a simple implementation, actually I think it's allowed by default did they make you not allowed to embed videos on purpose?

Theymos can you allow us to embed videos please?

I read some posts long time ago mentioning embedding videos is disabled, and you can only put the links in your post for your readers to click and watch the videos.

Allowing any kind of embeded objects would open up too many risks. If someone were to embed a Flash object that secretly uploaded a trojan into your computer, it would compromise anyone who'd go to that thread.

Then what is the Insert Flash icon is for ?

Edit: I wanted to use the icon and following is the outcome...

The feature is present in SMF, but disabled in these forums for security purposes.

Probably the best you will able to do is use the YouTube to gif converter gifyoutube.com and then img tag the output.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.
