Bitaddress.org is good and reputable, and you can download it from its github repository and run it from an offline computer for extra security if you'd like.

I haven't tried this site personally but I've heard some good things from it.

Bitaddress is fine. If you want different designs you can try bitcoinpaperwallet.com/ which uses bitaddresses code to produce keys but just gives you some nicer designs to play around with. I would suggest that you encrypt these with BIP38 just to be sure.

+1 for bitaddress as well.
Disconnect the network before creating the wallet, and you can use BIP38 encryption for your paper wallet.

If you want to create some n of m paper wallets, you can use Armory.

Hey, I'm new to bitcoin mining. What's a paper wallet?

This is a pretty good article that you can read and get some idea.
http://www.coindesk.com/information/paper-wallet-tutorial/

To put it in simple words, "paper wallet" is a piece of paper with your private key on it.

you can store your bitcoins in a paper wallet to avoid hacker attacks. But if you need to use bitcoins, send somewhere quickly etc. use online wallet such as blockchain

Or, you can import the private key on an offline computer, then create an unsigned tx on an online watch-only wallet, and sign the tx on your offline computer.

bitaddress.org is safe and open source, very secure.

use a live OS like Tails and boot from that, then load bitaddress.org. create some paper wallets and you can be certain that they are safe.

i've stored many BTC using this method.

Thanks guys!!

Anyone got a good link on how BIP008 works?  I am tempted to just encrypt it myself witha modified vinergene cipher mixed with a symbol cipher.  So I could decrypt with out computer.

BIP008? Do you mean BIP0038 (Passphrase-protected private key)?
You can find the details spec here. https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0038.mediawiki

What about that Trezor thing.

Trezor has nothing to do with paper wallet.
It is a hardware wallet that will enable you to sign your transaction offline and will not expose your private key even when it is connected to your computer.
