I'm selling a brand new self-built blue laser. It has a wavelength of 445nm, and the driver supplies 1.25A which should make the laser 1000-1200mW, but I don't have a power meter. Either way, it's obviously extremely bright and powerful. If you've never seen one before it will blow your mind. The beam itself is very visible, even in lit areas, and the laser will burn through many materials and ignite paper and other tricks. It is more powerful than the (in?)famous Wicked Lasers Spyder III, and at half the price. It uses two CR123a batteries.

No warranty, sorry, but with proper care it should last many years.

Shipping is extra, about 10$ depending on where you live. The laser is currently located in Norway, Europe.

PS: Are you interested in other lasers? I'm about to open a bitcoin laser shop, selling handmade lasers in all kinds of powers and colors. Opening is in a few weeks, stay tuned.

PM if you got any questions.

Careful with those, make sure you get a good set of goggles. I have a couple, burning stuff is fun but the reflection off a wall can easily blind you.

Yes, thanks. I was going to say that but forgot.  Tongue

Be very careful, the laser can blind instantly. NEVER, EVER point it towards other people or animals, or vehicles or airplanes.

Aren't these strong enough to get confiscated by customs?

Will these be the most powerful offered?
How much for shipping to the US?
How much for bulk (10+)?
What happens if US customs seizes the shipment? A quick google search shows that any lasers >5mw being brought into the US must have a key lock/safety on it: wikipedia entry

God I always cringe when I see these things for sale.  I'm not thread crapping, but allow me to explain the danger to people who are unfamiliar with the true danger(s) here.

At 1000mw, or 1W, this laser will basically blind you instantly.  People tell you to treat high powered lasers like a gun, but I have found that that advice is sorely lacking in describing the danger.  Yes, you should treat it like a gun, in so far as it's always loaded and ready to fire.  However, unlike a gun, the "bullet" is continuous.  A real gun will fire a single source of damage in a singe direction... a laser will fire in every direction it's pointed continuously... it is more like the ultimate machine gun.

In addition to a constant stream of less than lethal, but instantly blinding bullets, lasers reflect... of off anything mildly reflective.  Unlike a bullet, if it hits a piece of glass, a banniser, chrome bumper, mirror, hubcap, shiny metallatic baloon, etc... it will reflect this intantly blinding beam back into your, your pet, your child, any bystanders eyeball.  Depending on it's collimation and focus, this blindness can be effective hundreds of yards away.  You can blind someone a quarter mile down the road and not even know it... and they might not even though what happened.

Yes, they are interesting, they are fun, and they can even be useful, but they are more dangerous than a gun.  They are dangerous in unexpected and unintuitive ways to people who are not use to and trained to safely deal with high powered lasers.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Sorry guys, something came up, this is no longer available. I'll let you guys know when my little store opens, there certainly seems to be interest.

And yes, regarding safety: I totally agree, and I can't stress how careful one has to be operating lasers. Read about safety, wear protection goggles and never lend lasers to people unfamilar with it's hazards. I will include safety information on paper with every order in my store, and I also sell protection glasses.

Can't tell if you're joking or not, but a laser like this would be a very, very bad gift for a five year old  Tongue

I'm not knocking it, because I'm all for the private ownership of lasers. But outside of scientific experimentation or shits and giggles, what sort of utility does a laser like this provide to the average goomba?

I was wondering if a 1000mW+ laser like this could be used in fabrication?  Think cnc with lasers! (real laser cutters are so expensive)  I know the material it could possibly cut through is limited to very thin plastics and such but that would be cool.

Tired of substandard power distribution in your ASIC setup???   Chris' Custom Cablez will get you sorted out right!  No job too hard so PM me for a quote
