Where did that 168.01 % come from? Smiley

Code:

I am not sure which table that was from.

I have updated this weeks dividend table.  I rewrote a lot of this to keep calls to GLBSE to a minimum.  The only think that calls GLBSE now is a web scraper to look for new security listings and to see the current dividend paid.  All that stuff is saved into my database and most of this table is extracted from the tables.

This table only shows securities that had at least 1 trade and 1 dividend during the last week.

I will need to look at the code again that collects the dividends.  The new API limits to 10 requests per minute.  With over 100 actively traded assets I need to add something to slow the requests down.  I should be done with it after I wake up tomorrow.

I may be able to offer insight into this...
I sold a share @ .3601 and then that dividend that week was .605 so the 168% is valid for that week
It was kinda a promo where I offered to first share to the highest bidder.

Dividend table has been updated.  The values look correct, even the insanely high +300% for the first listed security.

I had a bit of extra time over the weekend so I set up a site on a friend's server and put up the Dividend Return Table on the server.

Just point your browser to http://www.stochastically.com

I still have a lot to do to make it more usable like creating clickable links for the asset names but I feel it will be useful and see the server load I should expect in the future.  The table is updated at about 20:00 EST.  All the columns are sortable, just click the column title.

That's because MOM.GLBSE.COMPOSITE halted trading and has been discontinued, so the yield is mathematically correct, even though there won't be any future dividends.

Thanks for putting up the site, it'll be very handy.

Just wanted to say thank you for the website. It's a great addition to your already fantastic work.

Since the Stochastically.com site is up and running without any bugs so far, I will not be continuing to update the weekly dividend chart every week.  Please see http://www.stochastically.com for any information.

I have set up the site to show monthly dividend information as well.  I will keep adding more functions to the site in my free time.

To keep up to date on the site project please see the Project Development subforum:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=97311.0

or

http://www.stochastically.com

If you have any bug reports or feature requests please post in the project development forum.

Greetz

Stochastically.com dividend tables are only updated if there was a dividend payment and at least one active trade of the asset in the time period that the chart looks at.  It does not look like there were any trades of ABM since July 16th.  This is why it is in the 30 day table but not the 7 day table.

Any chance, you can add weekly price change using the "last trade" for calculations.
Those averages are available in GLBSE, so why duplicate it Smiley

I am actually working on having each active asset having its own page, similar to Google Finance.  It will contain the price range, %div return, and other metrics.  It will also contain the contract info, management info, and hopefully an area that will allow users to vote(predict) the solvency of an asset.

One more idea, if you do not mind: please add small tick marks to price chart, to indicate the moment of dividend payment.
For so called "bonds", the "current yield" (running yield) is a really interesting metric. (warning: can be misleading)

CY= next coupon payment/ current price

Those perpetual bonds need a decay rate.
