So let me think:

When i buy 200GH/S it costs me 200Dollar

0.00002780 per Day/GH/S = 0.0133 * 200 = 2,66$/Day

When i buy 9 Hashlets it costs me 200Dollar

0.0006721 per Day/MH/S =  0.0006721 * 9  =  2,7$/Day

So why i should use the GenesisHashlet???

You forgot the daily maintenance costs:

200GH Hashet Genesis: $0.01 / 5GH so 200GH / 5 GH = 40 x 0.01 = $0.40 / day maintenance, so you keep $2.26/day
9MH Hashlet Solo on Zenpool ( 0.00063912 BTC on Zenpool according to my rates page): $0.08 / 1 MH so 9 x $0.08 = $0.72 / day maintenance, so you keep $1.98 / day
This is of course if your calculations of what you would earn are correct !

According to my Zenpool stats your 9MH Hashlets would make 0.00063912 x 9 = 0.00575208 BTC / day = ~$2.77 /day before maintenance deduction (so ~$2.05 after)

Maybe I messed up some calculations somewhere ..
Make sure you calculate the maintenance fees in when you do a ROI or daily profit calculation!

-edit-
Average payout I posted does not specify if that's / 1GH , 5GH or 10GH. I assume 10GH. Can anyone confirm?

This is payout for 1 GHs

and this is cost for 5 Ghs

Just a suggestion...

do not buy on the same cloud.zenminer.com account both Scrypt and SHA-256 virtual machines...

Just use 2 separate accounts...

In fact, BTC difficulty is increasing very much (15% - 20% difficulty increases every 10 days), and by few months, you could loose a part of Scrypt mining profits, just paying SHA-256 maintenance fees...

Anyway, I think too that most probably the mining farm should rebate maintenance fees according to market situation...
But it is better to be careful...

1)I do agree 2 accounts makes a lot of sense.

2)  Your projections for btc diff rise are high.

Jun 29 to July 12 = 13 days and 3.08 %
July 12 to July 25 = 13 days and 8.08 %
July 25 to Aug 08 = 13 days and 5.30 %
Aug 08 to Aug 19 = 11 days and 20.86 %
Aug 19 to Aug 31 = 12 days and 15.03%
Aug 31 to now   8 to 13% jump

in the last 62 days  we had an increase of about 64 percent.  Which is closer to 10% a jump.  Some think the btc network is getting pretty full in size and longterm growth will be under 10%  per diff jump.

What's  the benefit of using two accounts?! Maintenance fees at GAW Miners will be adjusted downward (n their words: "adjusts to always remain profitable"), so based on that there's no risk of losing scrypt coins to SHA256 fees.
On top of that, and this is quite a biggie, the Hashlet Genesis is a Hashlet Prime, so you can (in the near future/weeks) switch from SHA256 to Scrypt mining and back again.

I am still waiting to see whether that was a typo or not in the comparisons.

It does say changeable algorithms, but am wondering if that was a mistake or not.

I know right now that if I was buying 40GHs of hashlet, I would just choose a Hashlet prime as its the same price as buying 40GHs of Hashlet Genesis. Well ok, it would cost $39.80 to buy the Hashlet Genesis compared to $39.99 for the Prime, but I think the extra 19c would be worth it!

Ian.

The genesis isn't a prime, it can't switch back. The prime can switch to genesis and back though.
Hmm, interesting remark Smiley

I've reread Josh's post, and this is what he says (and that's where I got the info from Ian, not the feature list or comparisons):
"Oh! And Hashlet Primes are going to be able to switch to SHA-256 at the end of next week. You will be able to switch it between Scypt and SHA on the fly! We will explain how this will work next week"

Based on that, Prime's can switch back and forth. Okay...

But a Hashlet Genesis is a Prime. My Zen Dashbaord shows the Genesis listed under "Prime Hashlets". I can make a screenshot but no time now, and likely you can see for yourself anyway:)
So, I'm keeping the door open that the Genesis can switch back and forth also. If not then the only "Prime" to buy is a Hashlet Prime and not a Genesis.

That is interesting Mike, I will probably spend the $40 USD and get a prime though as you get the same amount of GH's anyway. Luckily for me I got some when they were $16 each.

Just get primes and then you definitely switch about, i'm sure you can't switch the genesis to prime!

I've asked around, and I think Morguk is right. The Hashlet Prime is the unquestionable Top of the Foodchain and will receive ALL the features other hashlets have. So, the Prime will be able to do what the Genesis can do, but not vice versa.
But since pricing is the same, buy Hashlet Prime! And once that simple fact turns to commion knowledge.... will the Genesis go down in price to keep sales going? Or will the Prime go up in price? Or.... there's a third option...

That's right man, the Primes are the way to go.

Another big thing is scrypt-n (and maybe x11) is heading to the Primes, as hinted by the CEO. As you said either the Genesis Hashlets with decrease in price or the primes will increase. I think the former..

Hey,

Excuse my ignorance, but what is GAW exactly?  Is it part of Zeus?

I may be looking to invest some of the small amount of crypto I'm still holding into mining.

I was checking out the ZeusHash that is launching in a couple of weeks $16 per MH seems pretty reasonable compared to HW that's actually shipping right now.  I'm definitely considering it.

Can anyone offer any advice please?  Good or bad investment?  Anyone have any suggestions at all?

Cheers!  Smiley

Hey man,

No they are separate companies. ZeusHash is a good deal, but the benefit of the Hashlet is it doesn't end after 1 year, and you'll be able to buy/sell the hashlets on the exchange they are launching really soon.

If you fancy a Hashlet over Zeus, feel free you use my sig Smiley

Now GAW CEO is saying the Prime probably won't do 40 GH/s at first.  It will take some more work.  Sounds like a great way to sell some Genesis right now to me but who knows.

I bought this ZenHashlet on 9/5 for $20.95.

But I don´t see any balance anywhere.

This is supposed to be mining bitcoin for me, right?

As long as it was added to ZenPortal it should be.  Did you add it?

It will have a x.xx MH on the icon if it is mining in ZenPortal.

I´m supposed to input a ZenHardware Code somewhere but I don´t have a clue where.

LOL.
