FlutterOps – A monthly release on all things Fluttercoin
#1 Janurary 9th 2018
BackgroundFluttercoin was originally founded in March 2014 by kidcoin. He pioneered Proof of Transaction and the technology surrounding it. He disassociated from the project later in 2014. Like Satoshi we have no knowledge of who or where he is. During the disassociation the community was under huge stability
issues including issues with the coin network and multiple forks. We cloned the repo under my github and kept the association with his original branch. We then named a loosely affiliated group called TeamFLT to help put things in order and set out to work on bringing stability. In 2015 during the decline
of Bitcoin many resources were too expensive to continue to fund due to market volatility related to theoriginal dev exiting the project we put things in suspended animation. We continued to run multiplestaking wallets to further the blockchain and keep things working, with minimal code changes. Recentlywith the rise of cryptocurrencies finances are in a much better shape allowing us to quickly reach a newaudience and share our story. This is where your FlutterStory begins.

Flutter - Status of OperationsWebsite redesign and informational update.
Over the next few weeks completion of the website with updated information will be released.
This will allow simple and effective communication of what makes Flutter unique from other cryptocurrencies. It allows us to provide better communication and links to the community as well as an easy way to access our key differentiators.
New WhitepapersOur existing whitepapers are aging and need some additional updates. Proof of Transaction was originally designed for Proof of Work block rewards, but we have improved the code to handle Proof of Stake transactions. Whitepapers will be released for upcoming features, FlutterFlow, and FlutteNode.
Coin ServicesDue to our hiatus many of the coin services we were providing were taken offline. For instance, we had a checkpoint node which acted as a traffic cop to validate the network chain to prevent forks. We had backend services that provided the functionality for FlutterSpeed, and we had sync nodes that
help new clients identify nodes without the use of addnode requirements.
Bug FixesDue to some improvements in Bitcoin and other coins over the past few years, these are not included in our codebase. Working to bring this inline with current updates is of value. This is probably one of the most complex as our code is different from many coins and great care is needed to assure
proper functionality.
Additional GUI UpdatesWe have always added additional GUI updates to allow for ease of use and increased effectiveness of running the wallet. This includes theme options for visibility improvements, traffic graphs, debug tails, block split options, etc. As we see further GUI enhancements we will be adding this to upcoming versions. Recently added updates in our ver22 branch is an orphan block cleanup for the wallet transactions.
