Wow.

Am looking at https://coinmarketcap.com/gainers-losers/ and I am actually scared.

The volume on some of those so called cryptos just makes my jaw drop.

The amount of dumb money that's flowing in is ridiculous.

Noobs are buying stuff that's going to REKT them.

Once they realize that Fluttercoin is one of the few legit ones out of this ocean of crap, then things will get interesting.

But then again, they might not, who knows?

CMC is filled with crap. It's not hard to get into the top 100 there when you had managed to generate enough buzz with your token ICO. That way you got a mcap before you even started and once you hit the market you run into top 100 fast. That's why CMC is not really a good measurements for "serious coins".

If the new team is serious, this coin could easily reach top 250 in 1st step: the tech is good and reliable. The project is old, a new design could be also a solution (site and logo)

Devs are already working on a new design and on couple of other things.

Not saying that this is 100% certain to happen but so far, it certainly seems to be following this path.

I just happen to stumble onto this coin and it made me curious. Whey did a solid idea not break through when it first launched.Probably because the pool of investors was to small and FLT was left out. But with the current ocean of possible investors this coin still has a chance to come out on top. I hope the new team make the necessary efforts to advance this coin to the level it deserves.

To Devs, any help needed marketing this coin? I can help out with graphics if necessary.

In 2014, crypto was just considered just a niche for nerds.

Now in 2018, the mainstream is starting to understand the potential behind cryptocurrency.

Sadly, at the moment, newbies do not have a grasp of what a good solid coin actually is.

They are busy chasing after vapourware ICO tokens that are all hype and where the CEOs are more busy pumping their worthless tokens and then

dumping them on unsuspecting noobs.

Hopefully, the new investors will eventually wisen up and start looking for those projects that have kept on running for years and have been under the radar.

They are the ones that will actually bring value to the space.

Fluttercoin had no ICO, no Premine and was fairly distributed.

The coin and blockchain has been running solidly without any hiccups though developments were on the back burner for a while.

With the phenomenal run of BTC, the developers now have a bit more resources to meet all the costs entailed with keeping a coin alive cause it does cost

quite a bit when all the expenses are added up. Also when you don't have millions of USD  raised through questionable ICOs.

 - New whitepaper coming out this week.
 - People are working on a new website design.

Love looking at the graphs!  Thanks for those, I like what I see.  Working on a few other places to trade at, be small exchanges just to get this a little more liquid, open it up to others.  Give someone arbitrage, and some market redundancy, join us in discord.

if anyone has internal exchange contacts, dm me, front door isn't always the fastest. Smiley

my new user for bitcointalk, my other "ofeefee" got jacked, and can't find support to help.  Password recovery doesn't work, assume email was changed with the password, was complex one too.  Why i use 2FA on everything...

Enjoy

You should have the latest mandatory wallet.

https://github.com/ofeefee/fluttercoin/releases

To be on the safe side, it's best to have the coins in your wallet at before the fork.

Cryptopia has been asked to update their wallet but since they seem to be struggling with all the new users, it's best to be on the safe side.

If the coins are in your wallet, you don't have to worry about a thing because that's all that needs to happen.

Then after the fork you can do whatever you want with them again.

This was shared in the discord. I copy and pasted it for all those who are not in the discord.

FlutterOps – A monthly release on all things Fluttercoin
#1 Janurary 9th 2018

Background

Fluttercoin was originally founded in March 2014 by kidcoin. He pioneered Proof of Transaction and the technology surrounding it. He disassociated from the project later in 2014. Like Satoshi we have no knowledge of who or where he is. During the disassociation the community was under huge stability
issues including issues with the coin network and multiple forks. We cloned the repo under my github and kept the association with his original branch. We then named a loosely affiliated group called TeamFLT to help put things in order and set out to work on bringing stability. In 2015 during the decline
of Bitcoin many resources were too expensive to continue to fund due to market volatility related to theoriginal dev exiting the project we put things in suspended animation. We continued to run multiplestaking wallets to further the blockchain and keep things working, with minimal code changes. Recentlywith the rise of cryptocurrencies finances are in a much better shape allowing us to quickly reach a newaudience and share our story. This is where your FlutterStory begins.

Flutter - Status of Operations

Website redesign and informational update.
Over the next few weeks completion of the website with updated information will be released.
This will allow simple and effective communication of what makes Flutter unique from other cryptocurrencies. It allows us to provide better communication and links to the community as well as an easy way to access our key differentiators.

New Whitepapers

Our existing whitepapers are aging and need some additional updates. Proof of Transaction was originally designed for Proof of Work block rewards, but we have improved the code to handle Proof of Stake transactions. Whitepapers will be released for upcoming features, FlutterFlow, and FlutteNode.

Coin Services

Due to our hiatus many of the coin services we were providing were taken offline. For instance, we had a checkpoint node which acted as a traffic cop to validate the network chain to prevent forks. We had backend services that provided the functionality for FlutterSpeed, and we had sync nodes that
help new clients identify nodes without the use of addnode requirements.

Bug Fixes

Due to some improvements in Bitcoin and other coins over the past few years, these are not included in our codebase. Working to bring this inline with current updates is of value. This is probably one of the most complex as our code is different from many coins and great care is needed to assure
proper functionality.

Additional GUI Updates

We have always added additional GUI updates to allow for ease of use and increased effectiveness of running the wallet. This includes theme options for visibility improvements, traffic graphs, debug tails, block split options, etc. As we see further GUI enhancements we will be adding this to upcoming versions. Recently added updates in our ver22 branch is an orphan block cleanup for the wallet transactions.

Also, there are more exchanges in the pipeline:

lovely little consolidation happening.

Might have some profit taking or panic dumping from noobs.

But expecting  price to go sideways for a while.
