Satoshi is a perfectly normal Japanese name, but those fellas want to name her Satoshi Bitcoin. Let's hope that kids she'll have to deal with will be gentle. I think satoshis can be either male or female right ?

I think "Toshi" is a better name than Satoshi...if you are truly going to name your kid that. I think you can only pull off Satoshi if you are Japanese...
Is this the guy you're referring to? It's the only Toshi I know! Besides, I guess that'd be the natural nickname you'd give someone called Satoshi.

Nobody pledged so far I really didn't like this part: Pledge 20.00000000 Ƀ or more You will be her godfarher/godmother thus you will be able to attend to her official naming ceremony and speak her name first.A godparent is supposed to be someone who will look after your child in case you no longer can. Why would you entrust that to a total stranger?

I sure would. Just because that's his legal name, doesn't mean you can't call him/her another name. There was a local radio station contest, and a guy changed his legal name to Heywood Jablome. It was on 99.3 CFOX. Can't remember what he won, but I really doubt he goes by that name now. Even at today's rate, that would be a great start to a college fund.

Pretty sure you can change your babies name at a later point, or at the very least you can do when you're older. Satoshi isn't even a bad name though obviously sounds Japanese but people name their kids names from different cultures or countries all the time.

Then your birth certificate wouldn't have Satoshi on it . I wouldn't name him/her Satoshi (her ) even for a million btc. Hmm actually...

What's unethical about getting paid to name your kid?
There might be a moral question but I don't think ethics has anything to do with it unless the money you're being given is stolen or laundered.
