Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

what you say about this ?

I agree on the lower target, but I can see 4.8 happening without breaking the downtrend.

Down to 2.80, up to 3.65, down to 3.50, up to 4.15 and it'll hover there for a while.

I say someone is manipulating the markets and maybe even hacking mtgox.

I was watching for a specific event, everything thought out (and I was right), but JUST as that event happened the mtgox live display was down so I blissfully went to bed.

Next time that happens I will just assume the event has happened.

I expect the price to go a bit lower, then I will buy in again and ride it up.

That's the way they work over there!

this sentence has fifteen words, seventy-four letters, four commas, one hyphen, and a period.

apples and oranges...

apples cause real buying pressure, oranges cause idiots to leverage a long position and give all their money to zhoutong.

Funny you should say that!
I was at the in-laws today. You know, doing the family Easter thing?! and someone asked "what was the charting SW for on my laptop?" I said "Bitcoin, MAN!"
There were many hmm huh's around the room, but one person actually said "I've heard of that!". She said she saw it on The Good Wife. She never looked further into it.   Angry

That almost exact same thing happens to me all the time man.  At first it REALLY frustrated me; now I just don't care.  Bitcoin will be monumental (if the link to gold in that other thread is actually for real), and those that don't pay attention will get left in the dust.
"last shall be first and first shall be last" and all that crap, plus "I will come like a thief in the night"
I am no christian by any means, but all this crap plus the mayan winter solstice 2012, it all matches up very significantly to me.

The so called Mayan winter solstice already happened in 1997. Mayans were much better than we are at making longterm calendars btw, mine usually ends at the end of each year. Some businesspeople however, seem to have calendars for more than one year. So, it's just the end of their calendar, they didn't even predict that they wouldn't be around for long to bring out a new one. Their world has already ended. And besides, I have important appointments in 2013. So...

@Crypt_Current
you need to understand that before you can introduce bitcoin to a person this should have a base of knowledge something like, CPI/inflation, money supply, deflation, prime numbers and cryptography, sha or other algorithms, charge backs, credit card transactions, tax, have a different password for email facebook, bank login

if you look at your social circle of normal ppl you wont find many of them maybe none, so you need to introduce them to allot of stuff and then to bitcoin, ofc there will be ppl who will use bitcoin and wont care about the characteristics mostly because they have a need (SR users for example) so the need is the driving force

Most people don't know the inner workings of their Bank, credit card provider or Pay-Pal. Many have never even read a TOS, so don't concern themselves with the "little things". These people will never know how/why Bitcoin works, just that it does.

True dat.

I have to admit, the most success I've had introducing Bitcoin to MY social circle of average intelligence people has been via talking to them also about SR  Wink Lips sealed Cheesy

Well I think there's overall growth so that's nice, the last crash point was below 4.62.

Price seems too high for me with all the sellers piled up close on the right. Maybe everyone is hoping for a quick upswing and thus got it.

Taking the average price for 200k$ sellers/buyers gets you ~4.67, 10 bitcents lower than the going value.

I think I will wait there until the next monthly crash if necessary.

Still getting the hang of this though. (Hence only trading like 10$... my gf rolls her eyes every time I make or loose 2% Smiley )
