Imagine a world where govts has no control on the main currency used in their nations. Maybe an anonymous  bitcoin user will be considered an enemy of the State.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

So what makes the purchasing power of 1BTC higher?

An increase of demand higher than what supply increases (mainly because of mining). Demand can increase for many reasons.

What phone does this guy have that he can record sound to a cassette, read sound from a cassette or CD, scan VHF/shortwave, write to VHS, or emit and detect radar? And I doubt any smartphone on the market sounds as good as those speakers with 15" subwoofers did 23 years ago.

Hopefully the prediction is right, even if in 2020 or 2022 we see the Bitcoin bloom as a major player to revolutionize peoples viewpoints, that would be good.

The difference between electronics and bitcoin is electronics didnt have 'cartels' that made laws and cornered the market. It was much more free, so to speak. The financial system, money etc. is not, which is why bitcoin could run into trouble down the road.

blockchain is flintstones-era technology, hence the "block" part.  just like everything else in the show, it's named after blocks and rocks

i am here.

BTC is the future

What is that gadget below the mobile phone?

It's called The Large Hadron Collider (google it, that thing's amazing!! Grin)  which is possibly one of the  the biggest(if not the biggest ) machine humanity has built Cool. While it can produce antimatter(or even black holes, theoretically), it is a far cry from the antimatter reactor pictured next to it.Come to think of it ,none of the gadgets in the picture really is similar in function to its so called Star Trek counterpart.
