It is going to be a long road.  So many coins being sold every day at lower and lower prices is pretty hard to watch.  When Acoin pops up to a nice position on coinwarz it just leads to a higher than usually period of dumping.  To put it simply, there are not enough buyers.  The coin seems to have excellent fundamentals and a strong dev, things that people like to talk about being interested in.  When it comes down to it though it feels like people are looking for that hot weekend pump coin and even if they do buy a little Acoin, they are likely to sell it at a small loss rather than hold it at this point.  So we have a few people holding Acoin and a lot of people apparently willing to dump it at any price.  Slightly frustrating.

The ACoin Shop is a cool idea but I cannot see anyone looking at the products offered and deciding that ACoin is a good investment.  The exception was the mining contract but unfortunately that seems to fall into the "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is".  In fact the entire 1Acoin = $1 is too good to be true at this point.  I'm not sure what good pretending the exchange rate is higher than it actually is does.  I do think that Acoin can reach and exceed that price, but currently it is about 1% of that.

I love that the dev is active and the coin works great and the people involved so far are excellent.  So what I do not see clearly is how are we going to attract the community necessary to make this coin a success?  People are going to be more attracted to price than anything and even then it is only to sell for a profit.  So maybe Acoin can break this paradigm and redefine what it means to be an ALTERNATIVE to Bitcoin.

Hi,

Thanks for the responses, Jookly and Elite. Hope to chat with you at the shareholders meeting on Wednesday. A strong community is indeed what we need for the coin to succeed.

No block chain information, says that the coin has been removed? We do need a block chain explorer.

Like I stated on one of my previous posts, Acoin has been very much undervalued and 6000 satoshi is a joke. Selling acoin at that range is like selling darkcoin at 15000 satoshi, mad hey? Yes it would be. Acoin is a very low volume currency and people just do not know that. Even now where the price is on cryptsy, it is very much undervalued. 800K to 1.2 Mil coins is nothing and very low volume means very high price.

As to your question of what made it suddenly push all of a sudden, the Dev of Acoin did a press release for the currency and now more people in the crypto community know about the currency and can see that it has massive potential.

Vision is lacked by many in this community and I am glad to see the price push up so rapidly the past few days as the people selling at 2500 and 3500 satoshi and so on, have fooled themselves and now are kicking themselves as to why they just sold and dumped without thought. The investors as usual, will be rewarded and will make the BTC that they deserve.

I will not sell any coins yet, still some way to go and the lack of liquidity is very good for the price to push up more. Keep it up. Acoin FTW!
P.S Watch this space thats all I am going to say. Buy as much as you can now, because there is very positive developments in the works for Acoin.

Any advice for solo mining Acoin with an Antminer? All I think I need is a .conf file. Thanks.

Try ShadowCash, the first coin with instant and decentralized private transactions!

All you use is a config file yes. Why would you want to solo mine though?
