Has anyone else scratched their heads and wondered wtf going on with Tilecoin's price?
Yes Bitcoin's recent surge has contributed to an alts massacre, including Tilecoin's prices decline. Asic-8 / SDK Tilepay communications have greatly fluctuated too, particularly after the August newsletter. Since then, updates like the roadmap and Shanghai presentation have come from other Tilecoin holders/ forum members here. Many thanks for posting this info btw! I'd prefer such updates be sent by the Dev to Tilecoin holders (Tilecoiners) and in a more asymmetrical fashion. Alternatively could the Dev publicly nominate members as conduits/moderators/proxies so we know this stuff is genuine?
Information flows or lack of information to Tilecoiners seems to be justified by the following themes:
Exclusivity"The more social noise you create, the more access YOU have to upcoming releases and VIP access." (SDK Tilepay twitter)
Need we really exclude holders and include others based on making noise or affording the time and money to attend conferences?
Competitionhttp://onstream.io/entrepreneurship/five-ways-that-over-sharing-can-sink-your-startup/ Understandably over-sharing can lead to competitive dangers as SDK Tilepay has pointed out. But surely there's a happier medium to long periods of absentia, no?
Could we undertake a BRIEF monthly update in between newsletters? The occasional "Hello we're still alive Tilecoiners" most likely wouldn't hurt either.
Tilecoin updates up to July or so this year were really great, what happened!?
Asic-8 please make building trust and community an ongoing and regular process. Being more consistent here will likely reduce Tilecoin's price volatility.
