Funny you mention that..

I just put out curbside two nights ago a VHS camcorder.. it was huge, a hitachi.. had a nice plastic briefcase it came in I kept for storage on my bike

It was gone in less than an hour..  Cheesy

I have no idea if it still worked.. but it probably did..

I sat on my father's shoulders so I could see President Dwight Eisenhower's motorcade pass through our town on the way to the airport.

I knew people only a couple of years older than me who had polio or long term health problems from it. Don't get me started about these morons who won't vaccinate their children, Americans really are much stupider than they once were.

My first job paid a minimum wage of 95 cents an hour. I caught on really quickly and got a substantial raise of 10 cents per hour after only two weeks.

We recorded our high school garage band on reel-to-reel and used two decks to lay in additional tracks, it was stereo!

I wrecked my first car at age 17. It had no seat belts, a rigid steering steering column and a hard, unpadded steering wheel that did a major job of rearranging my face, it nearly killed me. ( Fortunately, later in life I got shot in the face, so reconstructive surgery was a twofer, you almost can't even tell but I've had a mustache ever since, it covers some scarring and discoloration from both episodes )

I used a slide rule as an undergrad. Computer programs were on cards, if the folks in the computing center liked you, you might be able to use one of those fancy new ASCII terminals. The mainframe computer ( CDC 6600 ) had a 60 bit word size and used one's complement for it's floating point representation.

I am so old it's not even funny any more, but I'm still laughing anyway Smiley

"Science flies you to the Moon, religion flies you into buildings."
 - Victor Stenger

"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and the rulers as useful."
 - Seneca the Elder (ca. 54 BCE - ca. 39 CE) Roman rhetorician

Maybe you do, but where I'm from I can guarantee you not a single university in the country has ever had a Vax.
