Cryptopia delisting ELC: Dear Cryptopians,
You are receiving this automated email because we have identified that you have a balance or deposit address for one or more of the following coins.
As of today (May 7th), the below coins have been put into delisting.
We are delisting these coins as they have ongoing technical problems such as no working Block Explorer and we want to ensure our customers have access to digital tokens that continue to meet our coin listing criteria and have a properly functioning blockchain and wallet. To ensure your funds are safe and off the exchange before these coins are removed, for those where it is possible we recommend withdrawing these coins from the exchange immediately. Prior to withdrawing, we recommend checking the CoinInfo page as to the status of the coin.
PLEASE NOTE: The coins marked with an asterisk (*) have significantly broken blockchains or wallets that will not allow withdrawals. In those cases, the inability to withdraw your balance is not due to Cryptopia but caused by a problem with the underlying Blockchain or Wallet associated with that coin. Please do NOT contact us about these as there is nothing we can do to assist. These coins/projects are effectively abandoned. ...
ElaCoin (ELC)
...
These coins will be fully delisted one month from today (the last day for all these coins on the exchange being June 7th).
Any issues or questions regarding these delistings should be sent directly to the developers of the respective coins.
Kind Regards,
The Cryptopia Team What "ongoing technical problems"? Connections ? I have 8: "version" : 60600, "protocolversion" : 60004, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : *, "blocks" : 968906, "connections" : 8, "proxy" : "", "difficulty" : 0.17186939, ...
Explorer ? http://51.255.13.23:30004/Cryptopia coinfo ELC: Status: 01/09/18 - No connections
But Block Height is correct. Coins may face delisting for the following reasons: 1. Sufficient nodes are not maintained to keep the network synced and moving. 2. A coinswap. 3. Any network issues or bugs that could result in loss of user funds. 4. Statements made by a coin or coin community that could bring the reputation of Cryptoipa into disrepute.
More info: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/620Someone knows the delisting reason ?I sent message to Cryptopia Support with Explorer address and request to return coin in market, right now wallet have 8 connections. Cryptopia wallet have addnode=51.255.13.23:9223 addnode=68.194.181.212:9223 addnode=5.135.163.92:9223 I also turned to technical support. I do not understand the reasons why the coin was removed from the exchange

A fresh screen shoot from yobit.net elacoin wallet. (Sloooooow loading) Online and fully synced. Nuff said. And thanks. PS: Wow. A new coin that have missed my attention. PPS: For fuck sake.- Get a spell checker for those conffiles! (4. Statements made by a coin or coin community that could bring the reputation of Cryptoipa into disrepute) Cryptoipa ? PothHeads! Same goes for the constant error 500! Statement made by a coin.. That makes sense. No need to tell i am smiling. This is hilarious! Back to trading Analcoin. (Yes. Analyst. Not analphabetic) Anyways. That image thing. Just tell people "If we cant rip you off. Then we will fuck you over". They will understand that.

It's not profitable anymore from what I can see unless you're the only one on the network CPU mining. GPUs/ASICs have better use in other places.
Edit for some quick math based on today's rates for BTC and ELC: Let's say I get every block reward (entirely possible as I'm doing it right now). A block is mined ~2 minutes (difficulty is dynamic so it doesn't matter if you have 100 MH/s or 1 H/s with an empty network). The block rewards is 0.163296 ELC. Based on today's rates, 1 BTC = $7348 and 1 ELC = 0.00001025 BTC ($0.075317).
0.163296 ELC/block x $0.075317/ELC x ~30 blocks/hour x 24 hours/day = $8.85/day (IF YOU MINE EVERY BLOCK AND SELL AT THE BEST PRICE). It's only worth mining if you're the only one mining with a spare CPU.

Those who have KNC Titan can benefit from this coin. But CPU user like me, will have no chance anymore.

This version https://github.com/collapsedev/Elacoin_Linux_Daemon can be useful for Linux users with HDD. More than 30x faster start of Elacoin client (<20 seconds). Should work in other platforms, if you can compile it.
|
Elacoin-ELC, Betacoin-BET, Neutroncoin-NTRN, Americancoin-AMC, Stronghands-SHND, Craftcoin-CRC, DOGE, BCH, BTC,..., Bitcoin,...(and a lot more) Linux updated wallets (source code) for: ELC, BET, AMC, NKT, SLING, CRC,...[if (blocknumber > 115000) maxblocksize= largerlimit] [I don't think the threshold should ever be 0. We should always allow at least some free transactions.]
