I've just started getting involved in trading. I keep hearing about "bots". I looked it up and all I see is a trading platform or software. But I can't seem to tell which is better or worst. Which is reasonably priced. And which are easiest to use.
Can anyone suggest any? And why?

Generally speaking a "bot" is an application that helps you automate and accelerate trading. However, you first need to understand what exactly you want to achieve, since there are different bots for different purposes: trading bot based on specific strategies within one exchange, arbitrage bots, etc.

Thanks for the reply Edward. I guess what I'm looking for is a trading bot. Or I should say a trading software for the exchanges. Looking at something that can trade different cryptocurrencies and on different exchanges. I looked at Quatloo and haasonline software. But the price between them is quite a difference, so I wanted to see what people are using and why. Which are easy and which are more advanced than others.

I see, seems like http://1bbot.com might be an option for you to make the first steps. It's rather userfriendly for beginners. They also have a support threat here on forum. Regards Edward

Actually yes, I forgot about C.A.T. I can vouch for Sampey and his great product. We are actually planning to integrate Cryptonit with it in future as well. Regards Edward

There are so many bots on the market, that until you try a few you will not know which one is the best for your trading.

Thank you. I couldn't read all the details, but from what I scanned through, it's allot of details you have there. Which is the best by far for anything I've seen so far. I like your software. I can't tell if it's too advanced for me or not, but because of your step by step instructions, it makes it easy to use. The only problem I have is to dish out the 0.6 + 0.25 BTC for bittrex now. I'm not heavily involved in trading this far. Just started. I tried mining and now trading. But your software so far comes on top. Do you have plans to add Mintpal?

Mintpal API is already coded (and tested) inside C.A.T. Problem is that Mintpal has not released API V2. So i must wait

I guess it all depends on what you want to achieve, and your trading knowledge. My two cents would be to never trust a bot that you haven't tested first—or someone else for that matter–on a safe environment.

Well my bot have a "universal code structure" + "single dedicated API interface".
Every time i write a new Api, all the "Core Code" doesn't know anything about the specific Api that is currently running.
Actually i have interfaced C.A.T. with
Cryptsy BTCe Poloniex Bittrex Mintpal (not released yet) Bter
Now i'm working on HitBtc
