1 With all pessimism i'd like to know where you guys are directing your purchase money. 2 is the aintminer s3 still a fair purchase if bought at 250 bucks? 3 How does one mine the other formats. When i put in 120mb from scrypt to scrypt n it was hundreds a day. I'm not making a lot of money in life right now and can really benefit from a dynamite investment. its just got to be low in price and rather then be a currency to currency flip i have to buy hardware and mine.
Thats all. It will be easier to follow replies if you number your answers to my three questions. Thanks again talk to you all soon
I dont know you might came too late for both of them and S3 and L1 sold out right now.

Maybe @dogie as the official Bitmaintech representative can now ask what's up with the L1, if it's sold out for good or if another batch will be put in line.

I dont think will be other batch until this batch done first or ship out and Bitmain wont want to be too much pre-orders on hold like KNC.

I still don't understand why they would stop taking pre-orders, unless they only built a limited amount of units which is currently hashing in their mining facilities.
After all the L1 has better specs and a better price than the ZeusMiner Vulcano, which is on pre-order as well with intended shipping at the end of the year.
@dogie, can you find out what's up with the L1?

I think the units are hashing happily at the moment.

Probably not selling more L1s for practical reasons. All the chips of the batch have been accounted for and pre-ordered, there just aren't any left. There will be other batches of course, I would guess around the time the first L1s ship.
Also, they won't know how exactly the unit will perform until its finally made. Simulations aren't 100%. If anything big comes up in the way of problems with the design or inefficiencies, they can make a revision without being over-committed to too many units at once that (in the extreme bad luck) something was wrong with them or there performance was way off. That being said wish I bought a L1, missed the boat.

I think the units are hashing happily at the moment. I don't know if happily, who would want to do the same thing over and over and a crazy amount of times per second, but agree that they are probably hashing already

the miner will be able to mine multifarious scrypt based altcoin, of which scrypt length can be 1024, 2048, 4096 (n = 10, 11 or 12

I'd be interested if it's still for sale (or going to be for sale again)
So far the LTC difficulty hasn't been going up too much yet.
