Ducknote could do well, but don't buy because I said so Wink The top 2 comments are the best advice you could ever get.

Feel free to check out NFD if you like:

http://www.nfdcoin.com

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=603932.0

At the moment, NFD is a straight clone of Nxt with a rudimentary ecosystem. It's also pretty quiet and under the radar. But as a pure speculation, it's got a lot going for it because it's really cheap. You can get as much as you want at Bter for two satoshis:

https://bter.com/trade/nfd_btc

And development is still going on, albeit quietly because we'd rather make announcements than promises.

Qora is stupidly undervalued. I expect a big rise soon when it implements asset exchange.

DOGE is still the best option for "cheap" cz of rate, and could get much profit with great volume. But it's still up to U Smiley

Do your own research, but as advice, read about BitShares: http://wiki.bitshares.org
Tons of information you can find here: https://bitsharestalk.org

If you are worried about the security aspect of the coins then your best bet would be to go with Quarkcoin. Most altcoins go through one round of hashing compared to Quarkcoin, which goes through nine rounds of hashing.

I would look for a coin focused on building a real user community, not just a new (which will be old next week) technological advance.

This post will help you research coins, bitcointalk.org - Re: How we crypto-geeks get it wrong & the reality of altcoin success

Then I would encourage you to check out AppleByte (ABY), traded on Poloniex. [DISCLAIMER - I am on the Dev team]

The OP of this thread advises you to buy his coin, but I would advise against it.
