was 1 exchange that had DOGE/USD where the price was at $.05 per DOGE, it was pumped up because of it. Once CMC took it off, the price dropped back down.

Doge supply is too high, there are tons of new coins created everyday so the price can't be much more high than the current one.

Doge has a block reward reduction coming up at the end of this month or start of next.  It still has a community, diminished sure, but it is still active.  The addition to allow auxillary PoW will ensure that it is a survivor, at least as long as there are alt coins.  However, why this week, I really don't know.  There is a good discussion of it going on over on the announcement thread.

I'm not sure how doge gets past No Limit Ever and Too Many Coins but it seems to have gotten some traction this week.  Go doge, stay away from that pink needle!

manipulation is easy in crypto if you have some btc. In the beginning had an extremely high manipulated value. So everyone dealing with it now have to be careful about that point. The community alone can raise the price, you need whales and with whales you better watch their if you don,t want to get burn.

Whoever mentioned people unsubbing from doge sub-reddit - it has 4+ times more users than litecoin sub-reddit has accumulated in 3 years.

100% price increase in 2 weeks clearly is "pump and dump", I expect value will be very volatile and price will be extremely low for a year until there will be enough businesses supporting dogecoins (cannot buy pizza, cannot book hotel with the coins without intermediary - yet) and there will be real capitals (instead of faith) supporting its value. In the long run I expect doge to replace litecoin as number 2 currency due to much more active community and usage of the coin for various tipbots in social networks. If anything it's social networking that can make a currency popular. Also besides dogecoin none of other currencies have any sub-culture behind them - I couldn't believe my eyes when I've seen adults using "shibe talk" to communicate in EVE Online.

TL;DR I will buy more after drop.
