In the past I would have asked whether we can point them at our own bithopper, but even that is unlikely to be worth much more than using GPUMAX these days. Assuming GPUMAX starts public work soon. Grin

rjk, if you want to setup your own bitcoind, we'll point the hashing power there. With GPUMAX, you can probably get 25% MOAR coins.

I hope you bought your tickets.....  Wink

Of course I did. Grin I'm wondering if I should set up a mini-pool and hope for a freshly minted 50 BTC block or two to keep as collectibles, or just line Pirate's pockets. Hmmmm.

If you are going to setup a pool for yourself, talk with Graet from ozco.in about ecoinpool.

Yeah, I have been wanting to set up my own ecoinpool for a while now. Now I have an excuse to play with it.

I was helping the creator of ecoinpool test it with some hashing power and we found a block in the first 25k shares!

Thank 01BTC10! We've worked hard to build up our respective farms and this is definitely a fun way to get others involved in mining.

Will you publish how many tickets are sold anytime  so we can see the odds?

It would be nice to have a list of emailhashes + ticketids to be able to confirm that you really did choose the correct winner.

Also anyone winning should relly point this to p2pool - 7,040,798 shares there would net you a LOT more than a few thousand BTC! Grin

Please show me your calculation of how ~7 million shares mined on p2pool are worth less than 5000 BTC. Roll Eyes

A hint: shares on p2pool have a difficulty a few hundred times higher than "1"...

Oops I see what you are saying, but such a large scale operation would probably be using a proxy that provides diff 1 shares anyways. Also, 7,040,798 shares is a calculation based on diff 1 shares at current difficulty from 50Ghash/s for one week.

Hi farfiman,  I will need to speak with Amazingrando before we publish the number of tickets sold. I will however release some stats now for the sake of entertainment.

There have been 33 totals orders on bit-pay and the only product not sold thus far is the 30 tickets for a 15% discount.

Hi Sukrim, we will have a spreadsheet of all the tickets published for a second party to verify. Everything in the spreadsheet will already be hashed along with the final hashes.

As for the shares we will be submitting, they will be difficulty 1 shares.  Wink
