this launched like 3 hours ago, who knows what it'll turn into but the algo is cpu only at the moment. I'm sure there will be minerd, then gpu miner to follow in a few days you know how these things go, but for now its cpu only.

Riecoin best coin .

But it is mine-able by GPU now..

I don't think Riecoin is mineable by GPU. I expect it to be sometime, but so far I'd say it isn't.

I think the cpu coin list here is fairly accurate: http://cpucoinlist.com/

last i heard it was a scrypt algo clone when i mined it using boinc etc did they change algo's ?
if it's still Scrypt algo as much i like GRC i think you gave bad advice Wink
Using your cpu's to mien scrypt is about the dumbest thing you could do with a cpu in crypto LOL
Think about it your competing with Scrypt Asic mining hash power.

Great coin, gatra! It's a shame not that many people use/mine it.

Check out AppleByte (ABY)

There is bonus added to the pool that can double the amount of coins paid to our CPU miners, who mine using the AppleByte wallet's built-in pool miner

It will also increase payouts to GPU miners.

Newbie friendly instructions to set up the pool miner are:Mining Get Started

Here are the technical details, if you are interested:

We pay a bonus to every account in the pool. The bonus is the same regardless of the hash power you use to mine. We pay the bonus on every block mined by the pool.

So for example:

Miners using the wallet on a typical laptop get 10 - 15 khs, and can mine about 100 ABY per day
The largest miners on the pool get 10mhs, and can mine about 40,000 ABY per day.

Our bonus is the same for each size of account, so for example if the bonus is 0.2 ABY per block (and the pool mines 500 blocks per day, each account gets a bonus of 100 ABY per day.
For our miners using the wallet to mine, that can double the number of ABY to 200 per day.

The bonus is paid by the AppleByte Foundation, and is not taken from anyone's share.
These estimates are approximate & can change based on the number of miners.

Happy Mining!

In most cases,CPU-only coins are not CPU-only.

In most cases,CPU-only coins are not CPU-only.

GlobalBoost-Y (BSTY) is still CPU only for now.  Just launched and Just listed on Bittrex.  Yescrypt algo is nice check it out.  I am hoarding this coin right now.  I believe it can be big. They have multiple devs working on projects.

I don't think Riecoin is mineable by GPU. I expect it to be sometime, but so far I'd say it isn't.

I briefly looked at feasibility.  My better half mines primes based coins (exclusively) and wants to mine riecoin, but she basically only GPU mines.  (She's been bugging me about making a cuda/opencl miner for constellations since hearing about your coin while we were discussing Tetriscoin theory.  Wink)

Recently, I learned a neat trick for gpu memory management (basically an extension of some work from an ACM journal about optimizing "dynamic" allocations for linked lists) that I think might be particularly applicable so I might revisit it before too long.

I'm surprised MOTO is not on that list.
