I've been putting receipt dates, not shipped dates.  The wait time is time it takes from order to your door.  I can put shipped dates, but it'll make the time look like it's getting better.

People live in different places in the world so shipping will vary wildly.  Shipping time is irrelevant.  Also, you shouldn't track order date, but order confirmation date.  That is the date your place in line is saved.  We don't need time included that could just be the time it takes money to transfer.

To get a true picture you need date ordered to time arrived that gives you the total time from start of the process to the finish of it just what people need.

Getting close.  Getting close.

Either I will have a really expensive BFL in 2 weeks or a free one in ~4 weeks. Smiley

I don't think you know what clear picture means.  What you want to know is data that only concerns BFL.  That does not include delays on the buyer's side like money transfers.  Shipping company and customs are also not related to BFL's ability to deliver a product.

Likely the best would be order date to shipped date but changing it now is essentially impossible.  If someone feels it isn't they can start a new thread contact everyone on the list get the order date & shipped date and make a new list.

I think the current list is fine.  It wasn't designed to be hyper accurate.  It shows orders are being fulfilled in the general order they were ordered and the delay is getting shorter.  Good enough.

Yeah, +1.  The list is maintained for free - I wouldn't complain too much about tarrant's methods.

Not impossible, it would just take time.  The reason I chose date of receipt is because, I and a couple others never received shipping dates.  Mine just showed up and then 2 days later I got an update from Paypal that the shipping information was changed.

I kind of like the very start to finish times...

Not complaining, just making an observation.

Both March orders were received today 5/9.

My third order for five singles placed 5/3 hadnt made the list yet.

Whatever a clear picture is the TOTAL time it takes to get it into people hands and that is what most want to know when ordering.

Again, you don't have a clear picture with the data set.

Depends on what you're looking for....if you want a different data set, send me a few BTC and I'll do it.

Otherwise, enjoy what you have.

My order (3/8/12) was shipped on 5/7 and I received it on 5/8

It's a rev 3 with the smaller extra fan on the bottom.

The thing came with absolutely no documentation, not that I really need it, but perhaps BFL should at least include a piece of paper saying to go to bitcointalk.

Are you sure you didn't miss the nice bit of card stock with links and info? Maybe it's at the bottom of the box.

I double checked the box, there's nothing, even stuck under the little flaps of the box.  Undecided

What info is on that card?

Sorry I don't have it beside me otherwise I'd scan it and upload it. You could probably email them for the info.
The most important bits are the links to download mining software, but those are on their site anyways.
