*I sense a flood of confirmations coming*
I ask in order to save my sanity, when you receive confirmation please make one post with your original order date and then receipt date and update on receipt. I mean a new post here at the end of the thread not the original post.
your spider sense is tingling huh tarrant, it will be buzzing pretty soon :p hehe

So I just got my first single but there's no USB in the package just the power cord... This was the one i ordered on 4/7/12
For those others that already received their singles, do all singles come without the usb cables? This is important for me to know so I can go to ebay right now and buy myself a lot of them if they aren't included so I can have them mining as soon as they arrive and not wait the weekend before they get here by ordering late.

Well their statement "We have come up with a way to ship without invoking import taxes for our customers" is a complete and utter lie and rubbish.
The Single cost a total of £90 ($140) import tax.

I recall them saying something about working on that, but if they said they had found a solution on avoiding import taxes, I missed it. Too many BFL threads... Do you have a link?

It depends on the level of service used or paid for initially, when shipped. Every Courier/Shipping Service offers International delivery with optional 100% all-inclusive pre-paid Tax/Duty/Brokerage/Importing Fees etc (so you pay nothing 'at the door' wen it arrives and know exactly what all costs are, as you have paid them already UP FRONT) . Depending on the Service Contracts that are in place between the Shipper and Business as well as the volume of shipments made under the account in question, the Shipper could receive special flat-rate all-inclusive PREMIUM SERVICE LEVEL shipping rates from the Courier that are often cheaper than an individual is able to ship for using even the cheapest service from the same Courier. THIS IS MORE COMMON THAN YOU KNOW, obviously. Obviously Government Fees can not be discounted, as they are standard rates that apply to everyone, but other portions of the whole, which include Brokerage etc ARE subject to possible reduction in pricing due to volume discounts etc. The fees you quote above ($140 USD) are not 100% Government related and therefore, CAN be discounted as I said....DO SOME RESEARCH ABOUT IT. ...So NO, it's NOT rubbish or a lie. You just seem to have no clue what you are talking about. It's great to 'call someone out' when there's bullshit to be called out, but AT LEAST have a FUCKING CLUE before making such statements. Take your own advise and stop posting your garbage all over this forum, as you have so wisely advised ME to do, or better yet, to refrain from. Yours Truly, bitlane

Yours Truly, bitlane While your post is very detailed in explaining what you mean, I could not have avoided the charge, here is a breakdown of it: Import VAT (20%) total: £82 This is government tax and there is no way to avoid this unless you are ordering as a business and not individual. Clearance Fee: Flat rate £8. This is the courier's fee for handling the Import Duty which they pass on to the Government once you paid it, maybe this can be avoided somehow but it's not significant compared to VAT.

I contacted BFL about upgrading my order to the ASIC chips. They told me that I had no credit with them because I failed to pay my invoice... I contacted Dwolla and they said my transaction completed successfully and that I could dispute it if necessary. I sent all my invoices and information over to BFL and am currently waiting to hear back. Hopefully this is only and isolated incident, but everybody that is getting "skipped" might want to make sure their money wasn't "lost".

My payment notification (on their end) was lost in the shuffle. All is well now and when my order is ready to be shipped I will be asked if i want the single or if I want to upgrade my order. They said their inbox is flooded with ASIC emails and requests, which is no surprise. Excited for a Standalone ASIC unit now! lol
