Allow posting/editing/moderation by group members.

I note a required feature in the new software will be the use of membergroups. There are scenarios where it would be helpful if multiple members of a group would be able to edit the top post or have self moderation powers within the thread. An example would be where multiple software developers are working on one piece of software, or multiple staff members in a mining pool or company announcements etc.

Yeah this would be great for that sort of stuff. Did you say this is planned or are you requesting it as a feature?

Ah, well yes it would be very useful. Is it not too late to suggest new features to be implemented now? Will development still be ongoing / new features be added even after it is released?

+1. Really helps for projects like CGminer.

So how about this too: Giving privileges to users for the account. Like a babysitter. For companies and such things, it would help. The owner of the account can add usernames to give privileges. Maybe, atleast, for posting.

Wow, this is actually an excellent idea. There should be auditing for sure though. The last thing you want is to have one guy ruin it for your entire group by posting a virus link / something.

That's why you should only give people you trust permissions. I think the thread starter should have overall say and be able to undo any changes or remove abusers, but again, only give access to people who you can rely on. You should be ok when it's fellow staff or dev team members etc.
