Armed with a pen and several napkins they got to work drawing SINC Function Charts, and creating math functions. The outcome of that Saturday night was a unique Subsidy Decay formula to append the tradition 50% Halving Block * Reward Decay. Instead of a pre-set nTerm decay * 1/2; RedOakCoin will decay at a rate of 0.00016% Per-Block! Initially, we had decided to run it every 7-Days. However, we found that a per-block would actually achieve our end goal of higher stability better and faster across all boards. First: ROC will begin at 129.53 * Coin Reward for exactly 17280 Blocks
Second: After the above state Height is reached, the reward drops to 115*Coin to balance the 72-Million ROC Spread
Third: Each block after 17280 will decay 0.00016% allowing for a much smoother transition during decay terms This feature is protective against strong Pool & Large-Miner Exchange 'Sell-Offs' during traditional difficulty adjustments. These images are older and from the original concept when our parameters are different. However, the trends and functions are still the same. We need to migrate the more recent images back over to Excel. We switched to C++ to handle simulations and processing. The main differences in these images is simply a longer per-decay term. Instead we decided to switch to a Per-Block decay system. http://redoakcoin.com/images/site-img4.jpghttp://redoakcoin.com/images/site-img4b.jpghttp://redoakcoin.com/images/site-img4c.jpgWe need to migrate the more recent images back over to Excel. We an extensive background in marketing and business relations, along with several publicists who are close friends of ours and have agreed to work on RedOakCoin with us. As for profits, we have many ideas ranging from video game integration to a large scale charity donation. Our lead Dev., Aetheros is also playing with anonymous integration for the coin.

@DEV, can you brief this coin, it's a little hard to understand since it's different to other alt coins.
Sure! Typically when a Coin (Let's Say Litecoin) is mined the difficulty will adjust along side the networkhashrate. Naturally, after a pre-set number of blocks the coin reward per-block will cut in half ((1/2)Subsidy * Coin). Bitcoin runs the same way; After nNumber of blocks Bitcoin's reward value(Subsidy) will be cut from 25 Coins/Block to 12.5 Coins/Block (See Bitcoin Clock: http://bitcoinclock.com/). Most coins run this way, wheather they are SHA-256, Scrypt, Scrypt-N, etc.,. After a while of studying how the Halving Function ((1/2)Subsidy * Coin) pitted against market exchange & trade psychology / trends, we found that during periods of Reward-Halving, there would be a strong sell-off across the scope of all exchanges. This would in turn hurt the smaller miners and profit some larger miners, but also hurt the larger miners who weren't acting 'Market Makers.' During these terms of 1/2(Decay) we realized that the number of active miners on the network is also effected. There often is an influx on hashing power on any given coin network revving, ready, and mining for the difficulty to drastically change, and there to be a strong sell-off on the exchanges. This miner, if timed correctly, can mine what we call the difficulty / exchange arbitrage and make a decent profit. However, there are also long term miners who sit and wait out these fluctuations, almost equaling the numbers of the miner who targets these arbitrages. To combat this issue of a highly volatile coin during Reward Halving Terms, we decided to not only smooth out the Exponential Decay Curve, but to move as close to the Natural Decay Curse as possible, thus allowing miners and targetedMining to be more profitable and more stable in the long run. There will still be trade arbitrage, but it will be much smaller. But now, we have limited the effecting variables causing this vast fluctuation in exchange rates. To achieve this, and to achieve a near Natural Decay Curve, we have set RedOakCoin to decay 0.00016% after block #17280. This means that there will be a steep dropoff from 129.53 to 115 ROC / Block. Now, ROC will transition past original 1/2 Decay terms in a longer amount of time, thus increasing the term-length of RedOakCoin, while providing additional exchange-market price stability, and security for miners who can not profit, and get hit with lower profits due to the psychological influence of Decay-Miners.
