You might try reloading firmware just to make sure.   Use a 2nd card as we dont want to destroy your first that does at least work on one blade.

As far as fixing i think it would be replacement if it is truly dead.

Again use a 2nd card.  We want to make sure you don't lose what you have.

Get a second card i believe 8 GB for this.  You will want to download original firmware from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=626327.msg6957861#msg6957861 .  You can then use win32diskimager to load the image onto the card.  Basically select firmware download and make sure to select SD card dont select C drive and write the image to new sd card.

man I am so sorry, I had a fury I thought was busted and was pretty sad, luckily it turned out to be something really simple, (USB hub is cheap and the port it was plugged into was not making contact right, switched to unused port and change start batch to use it, and all was well, for now at least)

I hope you can get that sorted, Maybe  they need to endorse or someone needs to research what they need to source parts and how to repair these. especially if it is not something like one of the ASIC chips, but just maybe a blow cap or something.

*****EDIT******
also with those massive heat sinks covering most of the unit's components it is impossible to see if something is blown under there, just incase it is something that is visible to see. Repaired quite a few things by just looking and finding a blown out part, and replacing it with a new part (caps, power transistors, relays) and got a good long bit more life out of said something.

It's not sounding good on the blade sadly.  With that we can rule out software problem.

Only thing left is hardware.  You could make sure it is not unplugged even switch cords from one blade to other to make sure it is the blade.

If it turns out none of that works you can try to get a replacement blade but sadly i don't think they will go to cheap on the a2's.  You might wait after L1's that is what i predect will cause a2's to go down a little more. There could be some others that will help it go down in price but i myself dont trust most of the preorder stuff.  L1's are pretty much all im trusting at the moment.

You might be able to sell it on forums to someone to fix.   That is not going to be easy or cheap to get someone to do.   A new blade sadly might be best solution.

Man that sucks!!
If the other blade still works, take the heatsinc off as well and look it enough thermal grease is applied.
On my blade one of the chips was overheating as well due to a lack of thermal grease.
I don't know if you are good with electronics, but I might know someone who can get you individual A2 chips.

No I think that will not work. The chips are daisy chained, which means it could be series or parallel (if I am correct). But non the less the software expects a hardware reset conformation before the chips are allowed to hash.
