Paypal is about to accept Bitcoin, so it's in our interest that all goes well with Paypal now, even tho we don't really need this company to function, the Paypal brand is huge and if they adopt Bitcoin, a lot of clueless people that know Paypal (basically most average joes that do online shopping know Paypal) will now know Bitcoin.

Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

I am a user of Paypal. If I can store digital coins there, it would be excellent.

And neither are they given.. or at least you'd be dead before you can appreciate the actual value of working for bitcoin.

Paypal will never be a "friend" even if it accepts bitcoin at some point.

True, paypal see an opportunity to make money, they're trying to take that opportunity. We'll have to see how they handle things when dealing with scammers.

Yes, but it's not an opportunity to make money. It's desperation not to loose money.

Paypal = ebay ... ebay had a significant security breach not long ago, with the majority of its users' addresses and password hashes sniffed by hackers. So Paypal should better:
1) shut up because of no credibility
2) shut down because of bitcoin

It's better for everyone to see these crooks vanish.

How to deal with scammers is the most important thing in BTC related trading.

PayPal should be scared. They should just shut down so no one else gets hurt.

Due to an article that BitcoinTalk didn't like that I wrote on CCN, my account is banned. Theymos refuses to reply to my request for hearing his side of the story instead of banning my account. Please sign my petition to get Theymos to unban my account. Thank you.

I beg to differ with your argument. I believe that the company is simply changing its ways in order to adapt to the rapidly changing financial landscape.
