Paypal is about to accept Bitcoin, so it's in our interest that all goes well with Paypal now, even tho we don't really need this company to function, the Paypal brand is huge and if they adopt Bitcoin, a lot of clueless people that know Paypal (basically most average joes that do online shopping know Paypal) will now know Bitcoin.

I am a user of Paypal. If I can store digital coins there, it would be excellent.

Paypal will never be a "friend" even if it accepts bitcoin at some point.

Paypal = ebay ... ebay had a significant security breach not long ago, with the majority of its users' addresses and password hashes sniffed by hackers. So Paypal should better: 1) shut up because of no credibility 2) shut down because of bitcoin It's better for everyone to see these crooks vanish. ya.ya.yo!

How to deal with scammers is the most important thing in BTC related trading.

I beg to differ with your argument. I believe that the company is simply changing its ways in order to adapt to the rapidly changing financial landscape.
