YOU (meaning everyone reading this)
if your(everyone) is just a back seat passenger screaming 'are we there yet' then bitcoin will stay in the drive way with a full tank of gas, so each and everyone of you needs to get in the driving seat and take bitcoin to wherever you want it to go

No Bitcoin does not need a savior.  Bitcoin is not on the brink of ruin, therefore does not need saving.   Huh

Don't believe it needs a savior no because as of right now I don't believe it needs saving. What it needs is more people to realise what it is and what it can do for them and to start using it.

Does bitcoin needs a savior?
No. Bitcoin needs only time, and you need only patience.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

BTC needs no saviour. All it needs is time and the continued engagement and advocacy of the community and the ecosystem.
Distributed trust means there is no need for saviours or any folks or entities with special rights or responsibilities.

How is it on the downside. Stop looking at the price in USD and consider the population adopting it.

Not sure about needing a savior, however Franky is right... the process would move a lot faster if there was more participation in promoting the asset.
The Winks ETF would certainly jump start the growth...

Amazon?... not so sure about this... sure it would give more credence to the technology but I'm not sure a ton of people are going to run out and buy coins so they can turn around and spend it on Amazon.... Amazon is simply a "look we're big now" concept... they will certainly cash out as fast as they receive their btc.

What would really jolt the price would be an organized marketing campaign as an investment opportunity... when Franky says "YOU" can make a difference this could also mean each persons willingness to invest in the growth potential... Who is willing to help fund an advertising blitz?

It depends on how you're looking at it.  On one hand, Bitcoin needs the endorsement of larger public faces in order to contradict the premise that Bitcoin is only used for buying shady products on the darknets.  However, Paypal does have a sort of negative reputation because of the rampant scammers who charge back which Bitcoin definitely helps
