Deepbit.net account locked with 45BTC. Help!

I registered a deepbit.net account about a week ago, and started mining with about 1000 semi-broken computers from my work place. Yes, I work with laaarggge data centers.

Deepbit.net has now locked my account, under suspicion of being a botnet (which I'm not) and, despite exchange of a couple of emails, appears to have gone silent.

Anyone know what the protocol is - looking at the forums deepbit.net is hardly fly-by-night.

But this is clearly the wild west. Can deepbit simply take my BTC?

Can anyone recommend an alternative?

You're probably better off not risking your employment.

The moral thing to do would be to send an automatic payout, THEN lock the account, but I guess they chose to keep the BTC for themselves.

Just as well, DeepBit has too much hashing power as it is.

It's actually an interesting real proposition for companies with substantial idle computing resources and bulk (electrical) power contracts.
