Dev, can you give us anything? Even a "...don't waste any more of your time checking this forum."? I am not trying to be smart, but, I have been a miner and supporter of this coin for several months, even when hardly anyone was mining it and it didn't have an exchange. I would love to see things rolling again. I saw you, the dev, trying to gin up support for this coin day after day for months trying to get it gain traction. And now, nothing... Seems such a waste for everyone. Let us know something...

The money needs to be out of the exchanges into my hands. Otherwise we got trouble. I'm contacting the exchanges.

Maybe you can resume the blockchain operation temporarily to let everyone withdraw from exchanges and then continue with the fix?

No, the blockchain has to be rolled back. There are attack blocks in it.

Fine with me. How far back are we talking?

I'm extremely sorry about this.

3 weeks maximum.
Hope whenever this is fixed it's still on c-cex because I got ~284k coins locked up there.

What exactly is it that's supposed to be wrong right now ?
Would really love to know wtf is goin on, I can't even find my balance in c-cex now... maybe it's late and I'm just blind but if I lose my coins I wont be very f'n happy !

I'd say were well past your 3 week max.

To be decided...

People, you need to realize since the chain will be rolled back to block 734000, all transactions after this block will be deleted. So how much balance you own till that block, only the exchange knows.

Once BIGcoin recovers, we need to chalk out a plan to recover the balance of users and we'll need support of exchange.
Well, we need to look at it like this then.

All my coins were bought at c-cex. Whose to say what block I obtained em at, let alone if c-cex even keeps extensive logs for shit like that. Or still has any since the balance no longer shows there.

However, of the ~284k coins I "have", lets say I get rolled to like ~100k then that means I am either owed ~184k BIGCOIN or BTC equivelant.

The question then becomes, who the F coughs up whats owed ?

But you did say 3 weeks max like 4.5 - 5 weeks ago.

To be decided...

A blockchain rollback is not done easily, so the time frame of 3 weeks was somewhat optimistic to begin with.

It's sad that I dropped real money into it(dumb as fuck, i know now) but this is pure bullshit. If you can't support something you created, be responsible for it, and fix it on time, maybe you should pass it to someone who can actually promote and do good with this coin. You have great features. the coin is PROMISING. but the dev is NOT. you need to get your shit together and help your supporters. this exact crap is why people are iffy on supporting/promoting new altcoins. NEEDS MORE DEV.

~285k BIG, just as the guy above has. Hopefully these coins actually exist given the rollback. -.- should've put my money into a different coin I guess.

All,

It has been over 2 months since we were asked to pause the market and wallets.  I cannot keep either running any longer... Unfortunately, the blockchain is completely broken right now and no one can retrieve their coins.  I will be removing the wallet in 2 weeks (8/15).  If the wallet is not working by then, there is nothing we at the exchange can do.

Thanks,
richie@bittrex

Where is the dev? Guess that letting time pass, as usual ...

He was online after Richie/bittrex posted the notification but as usual, he just ignored it. Perhaps, he has already decided to abandon this coin Huh
Mine also stuck in bittrex  Angry

I just need the balance of each user and the wallet to restore everything (once the fix is implemented).

Can you act already? Do you think that 8 days to write a one line answer is the proper way of handling this situation? Would you contact Richie through twitter? Don't expect him to be checking this thread in case you decide to answer a week later  Huh

it is clear that the guy handling this account is not a dev. or one of the devs. he should consult with them before he made these recent posts. Not sure he is away of how a hard fork is done (ironic , given the name) or a roll back is done.

What i mean is that they dont necessarily need to get all the coins back. that doesn't even make sense.. Seems like a roll back is a solution. roll it back to the block that you saw the attack or what ever reason. id rather find out i lost half of my coins i bought than hand over the coins to a centralized party : )

at the same time, to clear out the confusion, one of the devs should come and post and explain what exaclty went wrong, when and how do we proceed from here on.

@hardcoin
what exactly is wrong with the block chain. We need to get the chain synced up just enought to get people to move their coins from bittrex. it could lead to bad drama to see these coins deleted.

you might have mentioned your team spends time in this coin when ever they have free time, but this seem like it needs to be an immediate focus. its not about watching the new features get implemented. its about making sure your community doesnt get burned for the lack of care

There'll be no use in recovering exchange balances anyway if the dev(s) are not going to fix the coin.
