I am not so familiar with TeamSpeak. So I prefer Skype rather than TeamSpeak.

I prefer to rely on dedicated servers rather than a P2P protocol. Voices are synced much better, and reduced latency for faster discussions. Teamspeak should add a video codec in the future for webcam chats. Other than that, I can't really think of a reason why Skype is better than Teamspeak. I've used both extensively for years, and I usually just tell people to get on Teamspeak while we're chatting on Skype.

Teamspeak, although mumble is pretty decent too. I don't use skype much these days unless I'm running it through a VM with a VPS due to IP leaks.

Voting for TeamSpeak(TS3). I was using TS3, Ventrilo, Mumble, Skype, few ingame VoIP, and so far TS3 is winning for me. Lightweight, fast, bestest sound quality(least drops, lags and other weird things). Unfortunately you need TS3 server to connect to and chat, but there are plenty of free ones, mostly related to games.

Ventrilo and TS are used pretty much exclusively for gaming. Skype's a bit more cumbersome, but is the clear winner for chatter of any significance. I don't do voice chat while gaming anymore (never in the mood for some 12-year-old yelling obscenities and talking about how cool he is in my ear), and many games have their own voice capabilities baked in, now, so TS and Vent are largely obsolete as far as I can tell.

Both have different features that'd be good for different uses.
I'd use Skype as a personal and business communicator.
For TeamSpeak, I'd use it for gaming clans and servers.

TS is better but you have to join a channel with someone. With skype you know if the person is online and can simply call them so it's a bit easier to use.
