ok, i have tried most of the miners mentioned in the wiki, and in other forums. i cant get any of them to run. I dont have a dedicated graphics card as this is my work computer. cpuminer would run as it couldnt fin open cl devices. is there any other option beside sites that give away a fraction a day, and bitcoinplus?
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Without a GPU, you're only going to be making fractions of cents a day

Not even worth using a CPU miner IMHO

It isn't worth it but for a beginner that is just learning and getting your feet wet, it isn't too bad. I haven't made a killing with a CPU miner but it is enough. So CPUmining isn't a complete lost cause for some people.
