Quit my job and only do open source development.

Same here. This has been my dream for a while Smiley

Me three Smiley

Although I may ease out of it with some part time work...  I don't think this is an uncommon dream among programmers.

We need a pass-phrase exchange to get on The Island:

1)
Query; "How goes the bitcoin mining?"
Answ: "Does it worth it?"

2)
Query; "Are you ever gonna spend those bitcoin on anything?"
Answ: "Hookers and blow"

3)
Query: "Nothing more valuable than bitcoin."
Answ: "Nothing except carrots"

Phrases can be, and should be, asked in random order, need to be letter perfect, and salted into a typically idle conservation one might have with a stranger at your average island heliport.

Spend all my BTC figuring out who in their right mind would buy BTC at $1000/BTC

It's only $1 for 0.001 btc.

It's all about perspective! Good observation.

Is possible that sometime 1btc=U$S1000?

Which are the chances?

Well just do the math yourself:
How many people there are?
How many bitcoins there are?
How many bitcoins would a single person want/would be able to obtain?

After few simply calculations, you'll figure out the value

Considering that the question is
Will people take bitcoin as worldwide coin?
Really hope so...

... I might buy an island.

Yeah, I think a lot of us will be 'manipulating prices' in the island market in a few years.
One problem with even the most wonderful islands is that they can be lonely places to live, and they usually have no internet connectivity except slow and expensive satellite.

It Bitcoin hits $1000, I will try to attract a small group of freedom-loving Bitcoiners to buy an island that's big enough for us all, and on which we can install high-speed internet.

Ready to buy that island? Smiley

1000 a share does not seem that much if you consider the 21million cap compared to how many units of most currency are generated.
