Okay, I'm going insane trying to figure this out.... I have a Gigabyte 990fxa-UD3 motherboard and I'm trying to run BAMT without a HDD. So I did what was recommended on this forum post and used unetbootin to flash a USB drive with plopKexec, but when I boot it up, it says "Missing operating system" over and over and over.

If I unplug the USB while the message is flashing, it then says "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER".

Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Did you go into your BIOS & set the device as First Boot Device Huh Instead of HHD or CD ROM............

There are only 2 ways to get BAMT to boot on that crap mobo. (I have it as well) Smiley

Put the BAMT image on a hard drive and boot that (easy way)

Boot plop on one small usb stick or cd then chain load BAMT from a second usb stick. (you may have to remove the plop usb stick first)

I don't think anyone has managed to get it down to 1 usb stick that contains plop and BAMT. (I never could) Grin

Tired of substandard power distribution in your ASIC setup???   Chris' Custom Cablez will get you sorted out right!  No job too hard so PM me for a quote
