The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

It is really true that Bitinstant.com would like to allow everyone in China to be able to buy Bitcoins,  but we will need some help finding the right partner company in China.

It will need the following requirements:

1) No Chargebacks
2) Easily available across China.
3) Allows for automatic communication with the Bitinstant system via API.

Can anyone recommend a company like this in China?

This is China. We people do what we think is right by our conciousness rather than legal. Should 90% of the small enterprise disappear if the tax law is fully applied. The law itself here is illigal, as this government is not authorized by the people.

I love you people Smiley

I know a WenZhou guy here running a fairly large group of registrars and web advertising businesses. He was asking me about setting up something in competition with paypal a while ago  Roll Eyes not that I'd know anything about that  Embarrassed but I did give bitcoin a plug - this was 9 months ago. He's got a Hong Kong company for billing mainland customers (saves himself 5% or more not having to pay local provincal/city taxes). I can think of a couple of Chinese guys like this, would love to try and help you setup something, maybe even chisel myself a little piece of future China bitinstant processing!?  Grin  Banking is so good here, really you just need someone ballsy enough to start taking direct bank to bank payments with all the necessary guanxi to smooth out possible misunderstandings. Lots of big cities are actively courting IT startups and talented people. You can buy coins on Taobao using Alipay's payment processing (5% they charge).

Myself and Yifu Guo (of www.bitsyn.com) will be in Shenzhen until Thursday May 10th.

I am planning to organize a meeting about Bitcoin with local businesses I know in the Shenzhen area.

Some of the attendees will include companies with hundreds of employees and anual revenue over $100M USD.

It would be helpful to have additional native Chinese speakers who already understand Bitcoin.

I think there is plenty of interest,  and if you plan one, LOTS of people would come.
I will likely be back again in September and see about putting something together at that time.
