they will "launch" in a few weeks. Will the redemption be already available or will we wait for further releases ?

How will it the redemption work ?

Thanks

We will post redemption instructions on the website and forums at least 1 week before Frontier launches.  Redemption will be done through the website.  You will provide an Ethereum address, and you will be required to send your Ethercoins to a redemption address.

Sorry, maybe its already been on this tread, but ETC is on the exchanges already, when official Etherium starts on the exchanges it will be ETH correct ?

Minimum amount for scrow is 5BTC right? how many coins should a get for those 5 BTC's?

Please PM us for a quote

I would advise anyone to avoid buying ETC until ethercoin.cc gets up to speed with the roll out plan for ethereum.

It has been made quite clear that the "frontier" phase of ethereum is no place for traders. Frontier is part of a debugging developer phase.

ETC probably should need to be around until "Metropolis phase" .... so far ethercoin.cc has said nothing.

The roll out of Ethereum is a much more protracted process.

Due to demand from buyers, we will be redeeming on Frontier.  However, the official Ethereum team has indicated that there may be 24-hour checkpoints on Frontier if there are any bugs or failures.   So, we will have to actively monitor the network every 24 hours to make sure no redemptions were reversed.

will you keep ETC exchange available on bittrex after Frontier is launched or should all ETC be redeemed after 30 days of Frontier ?

We haven't decided on the length of the redemption period, but we will guarantee that it will be open for at LEAST 30 days from the launch of Frontier.

We might keep redemption open until some time after Homestead has launched.

Frontier will not be using the Mist browser. Frontier requires code entries (a command line) and runs mostly on ubuntu.

Lots of folks are not at this level including myself.

Frontier is not meant for the average "buyer".

You need to think this through a little more and give people more time well into the homestead phase with full browser capabilities.

We will take a wait and see approach.  From what we have heard, nearly everyone wants to redeem when Frontier launches.  We'll make sure that there is a long enough period for everyone to redeem in all circumstances.
