Dogecoin is starting to become a serious cryptocurrency pretending to be a joke.
Yeah... something I'm realising we need to communicate more effectively is that while we have a silly side, there is a lot of serious effort going on behind the scenes.
Related; there's a security update being pushed right now, source code is available on Github (
https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/tree/v1.8.3 ) and we'll have binaries out ASAP. This stems from fixes made in Bitcoin Core, and if you have Bitcoin Core/Litecoin Core installed, make sure you update them too.

I should also add, Litecoin is now (according to coinmarketcap) the second crypto on market value (Personally I like coingecko more, but people still use coinmarketcap).
With that said, its Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ripple, And Dogecoin. Waiting for dogecion to take its official third place
