http://coinmarketcap.com/Ripple is now worth more than Litecoin. Litecoin is no longer Prince to BTC.

LTC is going down as it's no longer #2. Smart money is pulling out for BTC, Ripple and Doge

It could just be a price spike for ripple. Litecoin went down 3% and ripple shot up 13%, but could come down again just as fast.

Well it's more probable that Ripple is just extremely manipulated.

Ripple can be highly manipulated right now. Use that manipulation and ride xrp to a penny and use your profits for LTC(for a small fee on the ripple network ).

More factors come into this such as trading volume. Not just market cap. Although this is pretty remarkable for Ripple, I'm impressed.

litecoin is still no 2 "Ripple is not a decentralized crypto-currency, they are not competition for Bitcoin, they are what Bitcoin was invented to replace. That's why banks love Ripple, because it is no challenge whatsoever to their existing business model or the corruption that model engenders. It is more of the same bullshit, masquerading as a crypto-currency. Might as well be called FEDcoin" this comment sums up ripple

You're right about BTC... it's is big trouble... forget about $10,000... forget about $1,000... You can see the panic among Bitcoin Super Heroes = serious threads about the problems with Holy PoW. LTC has already been trashed... and has absorbed the next Gen ASICs... That are hummimg along in Chinese factories until they are dumped on the pre-order chumps in early 2015... How is it possible that ASIC buyers never fucking learn? Never pre-order anything. How is that complicated? So LTC is cheap for a rock solid store of value... just drop the nonsense that it's a "currency".

I agree that it's not in "competition" againt BTC and other cryptocurrencies, but what it offers for the community is a decentralized bridge between different block chain ecosystems, which cannot communicate between themselves on block chain base because of unresolved math problems. That gives Ripple a chance to become "The Block Chain of Block Chains". Not "FEDcoin" but BIScoin, aka One Ring to Rule Them All . PS: I don't have any XRP

Ripple Labs' latest distribution program (via pre-paid card): Ripple Labs uses its XRP holdings as war chest. These holdings fund all of these people working on the core protocol:

So basically you just make purchases like normal on this card and you can accumulate XRP at no cost and no risk? Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Not quite like normal. You can fund the card with BTC, gold, or whatever.

Why isn't Arthur Britto under the team section of Ripple Labs? Because he is WAY TOO MODEST! *poke* *nudge*. And one of the smartest fellows I've ever met.
