Hi

I would like to submit a design - if the design is not perfect (eg - colours) do you have a designer who polishes off the final design?

Thanks

Yes we do

Ok guys be gentle...I have probably used Illustrator for less than 20hrs in my life and this is my first ever attempt at something like this:)

21 Bitcoins round the edge obviously represent the 21 million BTC's. I wasn't sure to put .999 on here as it gold plated brass.

Since 2008 represents when the white paper was published online.

Anyway, after the last winner I am sure we will see some much better designs, but wanted to put something out there!

Awesome entry, especially being new to illustrator.  I would not at all be surprised to see this in the top five.  I love it.

So will each coin be completely plated all over, or just gold/silver highlights?  And I dont think I've ever seen .999 fine called out if its just plated, right?

Thanks Sarahiko - I am actually looking into signing up at a local training centre to do an 8 week part time course in PS and AI. On top of working full time, 2 kids, studying for a degree I need a few more hours in my day, I already only sleep 4hrs a day so this is asking for trouble Cheesy

Nice. A design contest but what would a physical bitcoin design do? I mean will that be used as souvenirs or to try and convert it into a real currency with a value?

Yeah Photoshop is a lot more 'fun' than Illustrator, find it much easier to put ideas together and be creative.

Might find some of these tutorials interesting: http://graphicdesignjunction.com/2014/07/best-photoshop-tutorials-2014/

Doesnt seem to be as much competition on this go around.  I suppose the bounty isnt as enticing as before.

I think the designers are holding their design, i am sure that lots of design will be submitted 1 week before the contest ends.

I'm working on one, not holding it just perfecting it, It's a lot more unique than the same old B designs I think

Or like me - have an idea, started working on it, but can't catch time to finish it Sad

That'd probably right, at least I'm my case anyways.  And both prizes are still pretty valuable imo so I'm sure we'll see a flurry of entries during the last few days like we did with the last contest.
