The Official Whitecoin Telegram group is now LIVE!
Whitecoin has had a test Telegram channel for sometime now which has now gone live.

The main reason for the delay in implementing a Telegram group is that we did not want two separate Whitecoin groups who were mutually exclusive.

To this end we have implemented a bot which links our Discord channel for those who enjoy the functionality of Discord with our Telegram group creating one single instant messaging group over the two platforms.

Now those who utilise the Telegram platform can easily enjoy being part of the Whitecoin real time community!

Dont get panic. if you never delete your wallet.dat nothing much can happen!!!! we can repair or something else your wallet. no problem. but if i am right it was a new one without coins.
when i right remember i placed it only in the folder without unpacking but i will test it for you. and maybe it could look like it is stuck but it is working you can see it on the growing size of the directory.
you dont need to install or uninstall anything. that will not help you.

Important Dates


Hello Whitecoin community,

We have two important dates to keep you informed about:

Whitecoin blockchain update

The update will occur on the 1st of June 2018 at 22:00 UTC

We have chosen this time as it allows us the time to finalise the updates to our wallet and Whitenode, which we expect to have released by the end of this week. It also allows ample time for you the end user to update to the new client, more importantly though it allows us the time for platforms which support Whitecoin to update and provides the necessary time for good communication with these platforms on their status and to address any potential issues which do arise.

We do understand that everybody would like this problem fixed quickly and the team recognise this. We think that it is vital to be diligent and allow the necessary time to ensure everything is in working order.

Whitecoin logo contest end time and date

On the lighter side of things, the Whitecoin logo contest will end on the 31st of May 2018 at 23:59 UTC

We have seen a fantastic response so far to the logo competition with a range of logos gaining support. We encourage every member of the Whitecoin community to vote as little or as much as they like for the logo they want to represent Whitecoin in to the future. This not only allows your voice to be heard but helps support us in the future development of Whitecoin.

Mandatory Wallet Update v2.5.0.0

We have released the mandatory Whitecoin wallet v2.5.0.0 for the upcoming blockchain update

This release contains both the fix to the staking issue which will become active on the 1st of June 2018 at 22:00 UTC as well as an increase of our staking reward from 2 XWC per block to 5 XWC per block

The new wallet is available for Windows, OS X and Linux systems. You can find the compatible wallet for your platform here:

Whitenode version 0.3.1 released! Improved GUI and compatible with the Whitecoin update



The Whitecoin team are pleased to announce we have released an updated version of Whitenode to v0.3.1 with an upgraded GUI and a version 2.5.1.0 wallet which is compatible with our June 1st update.

Please remember to always back up your wallet.dat file or transfer your coins to another wallet before performing the Whitenode update.

• Disable SSH by default, can be enabled by placing a file called “ssh” in /boot/ or through USB.
