Paid him 25 USD in dwolla, for 5 BTC. He said he sent the coins to my address, he didn't. That was about 13 hours ago. I let him know last night that the funds were not received, and this morning I gave him til noon to follow thru. No response. The funny thing is, he could have conned me for (a lot) more than pocket change if he had half the brains. MegaHustlr, please come clean here before the day is over, before I begin publishing your personal information. I hope this is just a misunderstanding.

His name on Dwolla is Tyler Kurz, ID 812-486-5994. There aren't very many Tyler Kurzes on the internet, turns out. Dwolla is now monitoring his account.

Hey thanks for doing that. Those results show Tyler Kurze (at least the top two, my university firewall blocked the last link), but on Dwolla it's Tyler Kurz... There are 7 or 8 people by the name of Tyler Kurz on Facebook. I guess it doesn't really matter though, I'm not the vigilante type  Tongue

Really, it was my fault, there were several red flags that I chose to ignore. I was just really not expecting someone to scam me for such a petty amount.

Tyler Kurz is still scamming on #bitcoin-otc and sealswithclubs.

On #bitcoin-otc he uses the nicks:
bottles
maddmax

on sealswithclubs his nick is:
slick

His email is: tkurz2006@yahoo.com (or that is one of his victims)

His Dwolla ID is: 812-486-5994 (or that is one of his victims)

He ALWAYS originates from an ip in Schenectady, NY
similar to 67.242.76.95

he will tell you "you send first" and "my computer froze" to stall you in performing his scam.

He puts himself in between sealswithclubs member who are buying or selling btc
and bitcoin-otc member show are buying or selling btc by
telling each user that he is the other.  He attempts to get the actual user to send payment to the other then attempts to get the sell to send the btc to HIS btc address.

On Dwolla it's Kurz, not Kurtz.

honest bob

got it.  Thanks.  Problem Tyler Kurz could be another victim.  The scammer has got a pretty smooth MITM attach where bot the buyer and the seller are legitimate users but he redirects the bitcoin this email address.  No sure if that happened in your case.

As blitz- sent me 0.06 BTC for $1 PP to xaviersuicoegido@gmail.com

What to do... he claims he's not Tyler Kurtz, he's Xavier Suicoegido, and refuses to auth - despite having registered with gribble around the beginning of Dec 2012.

Noticed his scammer tag here: http://otc.armed.us/otc/query.php?blitz*

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

I can personally say jametobbano tried to scam me. I sensed he was off right away. Always go with your gut!! It never deceives you, your subconscious mind picks up on a LOT.
