I agree with both btharper but also to Monkey1, it would be nice if we use this thread for discussions about Pyramining and choose another one for your referral advertising. This way it will be easier also for newcomers to read old (and already answered) questions. Besides, I always look at this threand and answer to all yet unanswered question, and I think I never missed one.

I can't make any argument for that, pyramining has been active and helpful, including my own questions. Proof again is that I'm replying to him even.

The clutter just annoys me to be honest. When this thread pops up in my watchlist I have to wonder if pyramining posted something important ("<Important thing>, your immediate action required" Though I've got no idea what of the sort would qualify) or if it's just three more pages of five links from the same 5 people all wanting to be last to post (and one guy with the secret success method you have to be a referral for, and one guy who's figured out he can double his odds by posting ten links from two accounts). There's a place for that, I'm just not sure that here is still the best place for it.

Make a "pyramining support" thread with the local rule of "no referral links allowed" and they will be deleted by the moderators in case someone posts them. They just need to be reported.

I agree, there are already a lot of threads in various sections of the forum where referrals are announced. Starting another thread as "support" means less visibility to all answered questions available in this one. Let's try to invite people to not post advertising links here, if we see that it's sustainable we'll go on this way, if people keep advertising, I'll start a new thread for the support.

I am planning a new improvement: to give only 1 or 2 referral links instead of 5, which won't expire until referrals deposit more than the amount deposited on your account (whole amount if it will be one link, half that amount if they are 2 links). This way, the more one deposits, the longer lasts his link. Links would not expire if someone creates an empty account. It would be nice to hear your opinions.

My opinion is positive. It would finally end the process of destroying links.

Mine with your Bitcoins: www.facebook.com/pyramining (always active links)
Exchange all your altcoins on Vircurex (smaller fee from that link)

Great idea (in my opinion) to have just one link.

To be clear, the idea is that if I open an account with BTC30, then I get 1 link that works until the sum of all my referral's deposits are >BTC30?  At that point the first link dies, and I get a new link that works for the next BTC30 of referrals.  Right?

This would be great because there is then a (small) incentive to deposit more BTC since you can save yourself some of the work associated with changing and updating referral links.

Another idea:  Have you thought about placing a cap on the total returns for an account?  For example, you could cap the total returns for any single account to BTC1 or 100% (whichever is greater).  Once the cap is reached, then rewards would skip up the pyramid as far as needed to reach an account that still had 'room' to accept them (even jumping through dead accounts if needed*).  That kind of structure would increase the incentive to open a big account and keep it active.

* - edit - I realized after I wrote this that it might create the incentive for people to create a bunch of accounts with 1 Satoshi in them...  To avoid that, only accounts with an initial deposit deposit >BTC1 should be eligible to "catch the skipping rewards" and then only up to a maximum return of 100%.

Yes exactly.

I already thought about something similar, but I didn't find yet the right solution.

P.S.: since people keep posting here their links, I am thinking about creating a new topic for support/discussion, as suggested by PSY (even because this guy has already other entries, at least one other in this page!).

BTC in Namibia

Hi

I need clarification in regards to Pyraminings payout structure.

What is the actual return on investment per BTC it offers?
Are accumulated profits only paid out in 1 BTC intervals?
What is meant by your deposit will be awarded? Does that mean you roughly get back what you have put in?
Why so much emphasis on referrals? Does that mean an account is only viable to make additional BTC on your deposit if you have a downline?

Thanks

I am asking please to not post messages containing only links advertisement in this thread. I will introduce a note on the login page that discourages to search for links in this place. It will be online in a few hours.

Thanks for the input and thread changes pyramining, hopefully this thread cleans up on it's own. If it doesn't you might just be able to lock recreate this thread, pull over any important posts manually and resuming business as usual.

For other people worrying about putting links in your sigs (or hell, even one at the end of a useful post) I'd suggest it, like a tip address, if you like the post, support the poster.

I like the idea for the new referral links. What about one of the revenue generating CAPTCHAs that everyone hates doing? Make a little cash for the site and you can get extra (three or four instead of one or two, or a higher limit on current ones)?

If you change the way that pasyments cascade upwards, will this impact on existing deposits or only new ones?  Also, have you considered referals cascading higher up than just one level?  So that the bonus increses several layers up in the same way the increased speed works?
