Looking forward to solo mining.  Less regular payouts but less fees, so should be better in the long run. Pyramiding isn't really set up for regular payments anyway so I don't see a downside.

Me too, and as I have to waint ~11 Month for full break eveny anyway variance shouldn't really matter on the long run.

Whoops, I was going to check the site and see what the current power was, and run that through tpbitcalc to get an idea of how much variance there would be over 10-12 months. But the site is down ATM. Here's hoping it's back up soon and I'm going to go make up some numbers and see how that works.

For a slightly better guess, I think pyramining mentioned being able to find a block around every three days solomining. As long as I'm not making that up, the variance would generally effect people with accounts larger than 100BTC, although the payouts would be the same (or better).

With a slightly fancier setup, it may be possible at that point to mine directly to the addresses for payout (though that would require the blocks to mature before spending and all that mess).

Edit: Back up!

Edit again:
Using the pool hash rate of 95.7 GH/s and current difficulty a block would be expected on average every 1.4 days source. So accounts above ~150BTC would notice larger payments less frequently. That seems workable to me at least, once it can be setup to the satisfaction of the pool operator being the last obstacle.

Hello. In my profile information "Equivalent hashing power" has no value. Is that normal?

For some reason this always only shows up when you refresh the side after a few minutes. Nothing to worry about.

Actually ~ 80% of the hashing power is directed to abcpool, the 20% remaining is split between p2pool, ozcoin and btcguild.

Regarding solo mining I am planning to do it, but I am not convinced to point miners directly to bitcoind. There are almost no info about the progress and it would be harder to check if something is going wrong. I'm planning to install a backend (like pushpoold) and use it for mining. I am doing some tests in these days, when it will be ready I will announce it here. Any advice is welcome.

If I were you I'd point all to p2pool with a high difficulty, like 1000 or even more, so that other lower hashing power p2pool miners are not too affected.

ps. You could also try to use http://hhtt.1209k.com/ which is PPS with a low fee when using high difficulty shares.

Any idea of when you will be in a position to move to solo mining?

That sounds like even more fun, any details you can share?

Very Interesting!  Are you going to share any info or is it still top secret?

Quoting post 666!

You have the most exciting thing of all to share. Plans, extremely early stage planning even!

In-house? Let the fab company design things?
Cell-based? Full Custom?
Will you be selling any in addition to running pyramining with them? (I think you'd discussed this one before and did not plan to sell chips commercially).

So I jumped the gun pouncing on the Pyramining offer not realizing (as I didn't do the math) that the bitcoins I have (and have deposited) are not sufficient to make Pyramining a viable option for me at this stage. Is there a way for me to get a refund? I haven't gotten any payouts yet as my rewards have not reached the 1 BTC threshold and i could use the BTC in the account to make other investments so that I can get up to a point where I could make a viable deposit as suggested of 10 BTC upwards. Is this possible. Doesn't say anything about this in the FAQ.

Previously there was someone who was willing to buy out pyramining accounts. I don't know the specifics or if they're still doing it. Maybe they'll see your post and respond, if not you may be able to get someone else to do the same, but it may be at a loss overall.

I have decided to fully support Pyramining and to that end I will offer a bonus of my own.

Simply join Pyramining via one of my links.  Deposit any amount of BTC and receive a 10% bonus from Pyramining.  When your Pyramining investment matures, I will give you an additional 5% bonus.

Thats right 15% bonus on your investment.  Simply send me a PM when your investment matures, with a bitcoin address and I will send you your additional 5% bonus.

Why settle for the 10% offered by the other referrals when you could take advantage of a 15% bonus!

Use my links:

It's because we agreed to not spam reveals in this thread and have it for updates / questions on pyramining only.

I am asking please to not post messages containing only links advertisement in this thread. I will introduce a note on the login page that discourages to search for links in this place. It will be online in a few hours.

Now go and spam elsewhere.

BTW: The Billy Mays reference made me lol.

OOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhh  somebody is upset!

Is it because you cant compete with my better offer?  Probably!
Your "better offer" is based on returning part of the referral bonus on new accounts for people who are willing to notify you almost a year afterwards. You, and anyone else, who runs such an offer is still coming out ahead.

If you'd like competition. I'll offer an additional 6% (16% total) to the payout address, or an additional 7% (17% total) to the pyramining deposit address of anyone who signs up using my referrals upon completion of their deposits (this can be done at the completion of each separate deposit). For anyone who wants to participate just PM me your deposit address after signing up under one of my links.

Or PM me for a fresher link.

You just annoy me. You're spamming with your links and obviously haven't bothered to read the thread and aren't participate meaningfully. Competing with you is a joke, and beating your current offer is trivial.
