The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Mintpal's server migration sucks !! The new release of Mintpal V2 has been delayed for ages due to unprofessional management by moolah. Not the ideal start for a company trying to win back traders.

Yeah, at least they were kind enough to make a seduced one. That's just really unprofessional though.

Well at least its 60 days of no fee trading whenever they get around to getting the server operating
In the meantime adds some elevator music

Free trading? Since when? Is so I expect them to be the exchange with the most trades for that time.

On their twitter feed
I'll link to it but this part

Slowly but smoothly, migration continues. Don't forget, all traders are entitled to 60 days of fee-free trading at the new @MintPalExchange

This whole migration thing seems very fishy/unprofessional to me. They should have had V2 working 100% in a staging environment prior to taking v1 down. A professional team should have only had a few hours to migrate the system(really just long enough for dns servers to update imo)

Oddly enough I think its their selling our Altcoins
But not sure if mintpal has enough influence the change the Bitcoin Days Destroyed significantly given coin age so would be hard to tell.
Unlike Gox where it was like wooah large spike there.

I don't think they will recover from this as in getting back old customers.

I have never seen a site, service or shop being not available this long when doing migration.

They have lost me for sure. I have maybe 10btc in various altcoins spread out across several accounts. They have some sort of emergency cashout thing going on but that would be a major pain in the ass for me as I am not 100% sure exactly what coin balances are in which accounts, just the overall. I know that was stupid on my part and I wont be making that mistake again.
