The syncing is really bad on this wallet. Im hoping placebo can help us.
@placebo I added that node (actually I already had it), and still stops syncing.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

It's weird that everyone talk about a not syncing wallet. Just installed it from a scratch, added these nodes to the .conf: addnode=123.243.223.20:19090 addnode=5.196.67.100:19090 addnode=213.108.119.84:19090 and it took less than one hour to completely sync, just had to restart the wallet from time to time (approx. 3-4 times) Now it has 5 connections to the network. Maybe it's just my luck, but no problems with the wallet at all for me.

The meet and greed is to allow people to talk about the future of ROSCoin, the future of altcoins and how to increase popularity of ROSCoin, as said in the beginning, this is not a 1 week project, but a project that will take years and years.
You're mixing them. 'Meat and greed', or 'meet and greet'? May the chocolates be with you. I'm interested in this! ROS coin is also accepted in this store at: https://www.bitcoinsmarket.biz

yes. Exactly that block. Chain hasnt moved for over 7 hours. Vegas Well, at least I'm not alone! Are we waiting on a new wallet to fix this? The chain didn't move for 7 hours as there were no POS blocks generated. That is normal. There is nothing to be fixed, but we are working on the innocations discussed last week.

Vegas Yes, that is also a "concern" for me as it isn't really out of sync, it is just that nobody or not enough blocks are being stake, by changing it to allow super POS block, people should more and more stake, i think.

If a chain is stuck for 7 hours because there are no POS blocks generated. There are a few options that can cause this. 1. A bug in the code (Did you check Placebo?) 2. The amount of people staking is almost 0 3a. The min stake age is set to high (with almost nobody staking, it takes a damn while before the handfull of people have mature coins again) 3b. Teach people about coin control! Instead of staking with your full balance, and generating 1 stake block. People can select smaller inputs for staking which causes the network to generate more pos blocks This came to mind very quick. I might have missed a few other points Cheers, Banzai

I don't think so. 2. indeed only a few people are staking 3a. Yes min stake age is pretty high. 3b. that was already communicated, to make small blocks so that it stake better.

This is an interesting chicken-or-the-egg type problem then - I would buy more coins to stake them, but if the blockchain isn't moving, then the coins will never make it into my wallet. All my coins are staking, so I don't have any available to stake this block.
I guess the only solution is for someone - anyone - out there with a wallet who has a balance but isn't staking to start up the wallet and unlock it?

yes, to get chain running smooth, EVERYONE must stake. I have a large amount that I am breaking down into sub 5000 coin blocks. Its a known fact this wallet does NOT do well with massive coins blocks , say over 50,000 or more. IMHO I think there are 2 issues here. 1. A fault in the wallet (probably people trying to stake 50,000 coin block or more) 2. Not enough people staking. This is my second time around with this coin. I had EXACTLY the same problems last time when I dumped it at end of last year. So everyone needs to be a part of this fix. Make sure your not just staking, but your blocks are under 5000, or they will get stuck, and then when enough people get stuck , the chain gets stuck. I think advertising the superblocks caused people to buy massive amounts like 500,000 and 1 mil and just dump them in their wallet. This will cause MAJOR problems with this wallet. The dev will probably clone a newer version of a litecoin clone that has this issue fixed. Its just going to take time and effort from all of us. If the dev releases a wallet that is more compatible with larger amounts, that alone will get things running smooth. If you dont understand what this means, post and ask. One of us will explain it more, because if you dont understand, your wallet is probably one of the problems (no offense). One of us will explain how to structure your wallet to sync faster/smoother until a fix is out. The other thing I see is 50 confirmations for a stake. That is WAY too high, and needs to be changed on the next wallet release. That alone is going to make things crawl. Wallet IS syncing (for now).

You know... ROS was on their test server and was almost listed on Cryptsy, but there was a problem with the coin and we had to fork it, and cryptsy then said 'No'.

Things seem to be running smoother. Network has been more stable and faster confirms. Im still working on my one large batch and breaking them down as fast as they can confirm. As long as everyone unlocks their wallets as stakes, its faster for everyone.
