Wallet offline on Bittrex ...
What's going on ?

Early this morning we detected a doublespend that rolled back almost 3M in roscoin.  Infact it looks like its been atttacked a couple times... a 1800+ block rewrite disconnect is not a good thing.  Is there still an active team on this?  We are going to recover funds if we can, and reopen the market.  However, the wallet will stay disabled until the devs understand what happened and provide a fix.

thanks,
richie@bittrex

Based on the first information that i have received it was because of nobody staking and this makes attacks pretty easy and that is why there was a double speed event.

How to solve it:

People should stake their coins so that it is more difficult to create a double speed event.

We will release a new wallet that should speedup the sync issue

We will increase the POS block time to 360 seconds (meaning fork), this should really reduce the double speed attacks.

wow, y-day I sent my coins to bittrex, today I saw them gone

Then I ran my wallet and after syncing i saw them in the wallet  Cheesy happy end

now I'd like to say about this
> People should stake their coins so that it is more difficult to create a double speed event.

I am staking but I only get conflict coins. Maybe we need new wallet  Roll Eyes

ps: I tried versions 1.0.0.0 and 1.0.1.0

A little update on the coffee shop story.

Beste Kris,

Hmm ik ken het systeem nog niet echt, daarbij hoorde ik ook iets over
gehacte coins die iemand ineens kwijt was?

In hoeverre is het betrouwbaar, dat is mijn probleem een beetje...

I continue my little talk with this shop and give them already a few alternatives to make sure that they say yes.

We are speaking about one of the biggest exchanges here, with fiat trade available, it is not a small meaningless exchange, it is big, my friend.

You of all people should know that a coin that is suffering with low volume and lack of interest, doesn't get revived simply by adding another exchange.

I know that, but getting added on Cryptsy means security, means fiat, means a lot of things.

And we maybe have a deal with wietzaadjes.nl. If the deal can be signed then we have a lot more to offer then a lot of other coins.

New wallet will be available soon: Hard fork at block 75,000.

The exchanges will be informed!.

This wallet should make it almost impossible to create double speed attacks + it should sync your wallet a lot faster and would be more interesting to stake some coins Smiley

New wallet released!

1.1 changelog:
- added sync-checkpointing = attacks are nearly impossible
- faster syncing (this won't take effect until most people update)
- UI is prettier
- at block 75 000, block time will be increased to 6 minutes to increase security.

Please update as soon as possible, you HAVE to update before block 75 000.
