That was a wise choice! bitmain seems to be one of the most competitive and honest companies in the long-term. You should honestly check http://www.dogiecoin.com/ if you're looking to buy miners again. Dogie is doing and incredible job documenting everything and creating reviews along with guides to help you decide what to buy and even set it up afterwards.

Also Bitmain sent out a lot of coupons, if you look people sell/give them away on the forums.   Right now S4 coupon is 400 off.

and s-3's are 50 off  so 2 of them are 100 off  pretty decent buy.

I personally prefer the S3 over the S4.  Easier to resale, since most home miners would rather have a S3 over a S4.

One more for Bitmain.

I've always gotten my orders from them in a timely fashion and been satisfied with the gear.

I can't speak for their other stuff, as I've yet to order anything other than (the older)  S1s and S3s, but their miners have always performed as advertised for me. Actually, even when I accidentally broke one of the capacitors of one of my old S1s, after reading someone's suggestion, I plugged it in anyway, and the thing still worked (although at a somewhat lower hash rate, but less than 10% lower).

I was pretty amazed.

Any other issues I've had, like scorched power connectors, were a result of using shitty power supplies and overclocking.
I've learned not to do that, and haven't had a problem since.

Looking at the S4 for a future purchase.

Do the things you know you must do first, then worry about the stuff you're not sure about.

Buying from bitmain is good but I find cloud mining more profitable these days due to the cheap power and saving on delivery charges..

@bitcoindiscounts I reported you to mods for confirming a scam, and asked the mods to ban your account. You dont belong here with honest people.

Ive also reported you to Bitmaintech, I hope they hunt you down.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

This is why it is a good idea to only buy directly from the manufacturer as this will allow you to avoid falling for scams like this one. This particular scam was very poorly executed however others will be more convincing.
