You Don't Bitcoin 'till You Mint Coin

In November, an investor approached me to acquire Bitcoinica. Due to regulatory concerns, I agreed to the deal and signed the agreement. Bitcoinica was sold for a good price. However, since the investor is unable to arrange for a replacement team, I continued to become the sole operator until Team Intersango took over two weeks ago. The investor let me keep all profits until late January, the official handover time. After handover, he continued to offer generous salary and performance bonus every month.

Did you not retain any share in bitcoinica? It would have been a useful way of keeping an interest in the company while enabling you to detatch from anything related to the daily running of it.

I could choose to but I didn't. There is regulatory risk and I want to avoid it as much as possible.

Zhou, What is your current relationship with the Bitcoinica business? Have you already said your good byes?
It's in a complete PR Fiasco right now and you have always been their PR man.

It needs a splash page ASAP.
Your announcements need to be sent out by email! not just here on the forum.
And a blog spot with at least daily updates (can be brief).

Please address this issue. Thanks.

Do you really believe bitcoinica is helping reduce volatility ??

US intelligence uses private mercenary hackers to bypass "policy restrictions" and target activists

Quote from: Dept. of Justice
Attempts to undermine the legitimate currency of this country are simply a unique form of domestic terrorism.  We are determined to meet these threats through infiltration, disruption, and dismantling
http://charlotte.fbi.gov/dojpressrel/pressrel11/ce031811.htm

Look, the people in charge of the US government are total criminals, with about a 12% approval rating.  When they aren't running drugs and guns and engaging in torture and murder all over the world, they're running hackers and other false flag attacks on anyone who attempts to insulate themselves from their ineptitude.  This has been well documented going back generations, and it's always the same incestuous group of drug kingpins from both sides of the political spectrum running the intelligence agencies, big banks, and military-industrial complex to traffick illicit goods, launder money and abuse governmental power in order to shut down their competition and rake in obscene profits.

And at this point, due to their "creative destruction" of trillions of dollars in real wealth in failed wars and various ponzi schemes, they have access to a ready army of millions of welfare zombies and middle-class soccer-moms with napoleon complexes ready to turn on anyone who refuses to march lockstep with them towards their global fascist nightmare.

If you visited bitcoinica before, your browser's autocomplete will send you to https (which is not working) instead. You have to edit that bit out or fill the http part as well, depending on the browser.

Congrats sir. You not only did an absolutely amazing thing for the Bitcoin community, but you also made a savy 1,000 BTC investment and are now sitting on a small fortune. Very happy for you - I think this is probably my favorite bitcoin success story - why? Because it ended up having a good ending even after a huge hacking like bitcoinica - GO Zhou Tong!!!

Why is it sad? Did I miss something? He has 440k worth of bitcoin he bought for cheap, plus a time when he owned tons (and probably quite a bit of USD profit as well from bitcoinica). I thought it was pretty cool to see now 2 years later that he actually still came out on top even after everything.
